Description of the composition

The composition of UR ± Silk evolves as an expressive line of development, where layers reveal themselves smoothly and sequentially. The creative approach of UER MI comes through in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. No excess details, only what works, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Eau de parfum sets the right density and pace of development.

At olfactory-group level the composition is built around Spicy, Wood, Fruit and Citrus. It also reaches into Floral, Musk and Whiteflower.

Without strict stage separation the notes arrive together with a multi-layered petal mood: Caraway, Cedar, Cypress, Fig, Grapefruit, Iris and Lilac.

The middle and base stages are perceived as a gradual shift without abrupt breaks, which keeps the fragrance coherent.

The accord profile is shaped by these accords: Citrus, Floral, Fruit and Musc without random overlap. Additional accords such as Wood, Powdery and Spicy expand the olfactory volume in the background. The profile is unisex, which clarifies the composition character. For persistence Middle points to a sustained drydown presence.

In summary UR ± Silk sounds complete from start to finish — the start forms character, the middle layer carries the identity, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint.

A snowy white silk shirt against bare skin is certainly impressive. But what can be more deceptive than the feeling when cold material starts to warm up against the skin? It feels like a gentle touch that evokes sadness. The UR ± Silk fragrance feels so natural, as if it simply exists. Notes of fig and fig leaf, iris powder, soapy neroli - all of this is barely audible against the backdrop of bright grapefruit. And then, as if at the last moment, a powerful combination of lilac, cedar, and musk appears. Sensations shift: wet and cool, then warm and rough. This fragrance is like a play of light and shadow, but there is no joy, only melancholy 😔

I saw lilac in the notes pyramid. If lilac is there, it will stand out no matter how hard they try to mask it with other notes; it's just a wild bush. It sounds kind of primitive, like someone just hacked off the branches. Anyway, not impressive. Once the top notes fade and only a faint hint of lilac remains, maybe you can try to catch something more interesting. But imagining this on a man is no easy task, even with my vivid imagination 😒
