Description of the composition

The olfactory structure of Ice unfolds as an expressive line of development, where accents shift without rush and without gaps. The signature of Van Gils is clear in the way notes appear and fade. Every decision feels deliberate, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Eau de toilette keeps the right density and pace of development.

The stylistic positioning is masculine, which clarifies the composition character.

In the first seconds you sense marine aquatic first notes: Marine accord and Mint. These 2 notes build sensation of a sea breeze that is impossible to miss.

In the middle phase you notice Ginger and Juniper carrying a spicy-aromatic direction. At the foundation the composition is fixed through Grey Ambergris, Patchouli and musk, extending a velvety amber-musky trail.

At olfactory-group level the structure relies on Aquatic, Aromatic, Spicy and Wood. The palette also extends to Animals and Musk. At family level the composition sits in Fern and Spicy.

Taken together Ice reads as a cohesive composition — the first stage creates momentum, the heart develops the core line, and the base secures the trail. These are the scent structures best understood on skin.
