Winter fog evokes associations with Silent Hill for me, but without all those creepy moments. Grey autumn sky, bare trees, and pearly ash slowly descends from leaden clouds. No movement, no breeze, no sound. A powdery-woody fragrance with a slight medicinal hint of synthetic oud. I don't wear it often, but I love it very much!! This is one of Amélie Bourgeois's first works from Flair studio. By the way, Brume d'Hiver is a legacy of the historic house of Volnay and an adaptation of the Rose Brumaire (1922) fragrance. The original is kept in the Osmothèque of Versailles, and I haven't tried it - I forgot that detail. But, I think, in the adapted version, for obvious reasons, little remains of the original

Honestly, this winter scent doesn't warm you up. It's woody-powdery, and its transparent pink trail reminds me of fog rolling over granite embankments in December. Be it a warm December or a cold March, it doesn't care, it smells the same. This fragrance is so calm and detached that you just want to keep your distance from its wearer
