Frank Govers is a famous Dutch fashion designer. In 1959, he founded a company named after himself.

Frank started his career in 1949 as a window dresser, where he worked for seven years.

In 1956, he moved to Amsterdam to establish his fashion house "Kamphius Grovers Couture".

In 1964, due to the bankruptcy of Kamphius and his partner, he was forced to close the fashion house. However, Govers continued to work as a designer. His style featured a lot of bright embroidery and flowers. Soon, Frank organized clothing production and founded a perfume company, which became key directions of the renewed fashion house.

In 1974, the first legendary perfume "Frank" was released, dedicated to delightful women. The fragrance was developed by the renowned master of perfumery Lucas Sieuzac, who achieved success after colorful works and recognizable scents for companies like Givenchy, Mavive, Armani. The scent is included in the list of chypre floral fragrances. Frank dedicated this exquisite bouquet to independent women—successful, cheerful, able to build their own destiny, striving for equality with the male sex. At the dawn of the 70s, this perfume became a kind of return to the fashion for simple compositions.

Emancipated women from Frank wore stylized men's clothing, defended their rights, but at the same time, they remained refined and tender, and deep down expected care, devotion, and true great love.

The year 1995 is remembered for the release of his book masterpiece - "My Life in Fashion".

In 1997, the life of the fashion house, like the life of its creator, came to an end.
