Olivier de Kersauson is widely known as a French navigator and sailing champion. He was born on July 20, 1944. He was the seventh of eight children in a family belonging to the provincial Catholic aristocracy. Olivier was an inattentive student in religious schools; he went through 11 schools and after graduation decided to study economics.
At the age of 22, Olivier de Kersauson met Eric Tabarly, who invited him to serve in the navy on a ship. Thus, for 8 years he was a sailor. He developed a passion for ships, and he became the first to build a multihull from composite materials, and then a trimaran with long floats. In 1989-1990, he completed a solo circumnavigation. Since 1992, he has been constantly seeking the Jules Verne trophies according to his log entries.
In 1992, under the Olivier de Kersauson brand, the fragrance composition Latitude was released, and in 1997 the collection was expanded with the scent Lalitude Sport. Perfumes by Olivier de Kersauson are exceptionally complex and multifaceted, with a balanced and harmonious sound.
