Description of the composition

The composition of Fee Verte Absinthe evolves as a layered story, where layers reveal themselves with precision and warmth. The signature of Yan Frolov comes through from the opening to the final trail. No excess details, only what works, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail.

At the note-group layer the profile is anchored in Citrus, Green, Spicy and Whiteflower. The framework further includes Floral, Sweet, Drinks and Balsamic. Within olfactory families the fragrance belongs to Fern.

From the first breath you detect radiant lemon-bergamot opening notes: Bergamot, Lime and Wormwood.

In the heart you meet Anise, Jasmine, Orange blossom, Rose, Sugar and Vodka holding a creamy tuberose direction.

The olfactory framework is shaped by these accords: Balsamic, Citrus, Gourmet and Floral without random overlap. Secondary accord layers such as Spicy and Alcoholic add depth to the backdrop. The gender direction is feminine, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived.

Taken together Fee Verte Absinthe sounds complete from start to finish — the first stage creates momentum, the heart develops the core line, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint. These are the fragrances best understood on skin.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Very conspicuous

Complexity and depth

The fragrance from the new YanFroloff perfumer collection is dedicated to green absinthe, made according to a French recipe. Here, tincture and ice water with sugar are mixed in a 1:5 ratio. The opening of the fragrance is anise-like, and the freshness of bergamot adds a citrusy bitterness, preparing for the heart of the composition, where wormwood, lemon balm, angelica, and fennel are gathered.

The floral accord of orange blossom and jasmine fills the spaces where the herbs don't reach, giving the fragrance sophistication and functionality. A sweet aquatic accord is used as a contrast. Perhaps the sweet water isn't entirely cold, or the cocktail was held for a long time, but this enhances the sensation of opalescence.

The entire fragrance resembles a milky-green opal - sweet and fresh, with light resinous notes around the edges. A delicate sugary matte finish makes Fee Verte Absinthe less harsh and powerful, adding femininity. In a cocktail interpretation, it seems more comfortable and softer. If absinthe were bottled with a screw cap and sold in the premium cocktail section, this is exactly how a product with the mundane name “Green Fairy” should smell )
