Brand «Roca Perfumes»

The perfume line Roca Perfumes was created by Jordi Roca. The pastry chef from El de Celler Can Roca works at the restaurant in Girona (Spain, Catalonia). Roca has long been fascinated by fragrances. One day, seven years ago, while standing in a Sephora cosmetics store, he discovered that many perfume ingredients come from components widely used in cooking. He then decided to create a dessert based on Calvin Klein's Eternity, combining mandarin with orange jelly, basil, and vanilla cream to capture the fruity and herbal notes of the scent. Since then, he has created 24 edible perfumes.

But not all fragrances lend themselves to dessert. For example, no one can capture the taste of Chanel No. 5, too many aldehydes. Roca was intrigued by the idea of going the opposite way and creating a fragrance from pastry ingredients. One day he developed a spray to enhance the citrus notes in one of his desserts, after which many asked if they could buy it. Then Jordi decided to develop his sweet fragrance, inviting perfumer Agustí Vidal to collaborate. The Nuvol de Llimona perfume bottles were sold in his restaurant. The author did not think about a specific audience of consumers; he simply tried to capture and preserve a feeling of warmth and tenderness.
