Fragrance information:

Castelbajac launched Orange Chic in 2020 — and it was a brilliant move. A feminine fragrance rooted in the citrus family. The talent of Karine Dubreuil is written all over this bottle. By character, it falls into the musk, floral, and citrus groups. The palette of this fragrance is exceptionally rich: traces of whiteflower can also be found — a rare combination that makes this perfume truly one of a kind. One of the scents from the Eaux en Couleur collection. The fragrance concentration is eau de parfum.

Expect a moderate sillage — enough to be remembered, not enough to overwhelm. Recommended dosage: 4 and more sprays on both skin and clothing. In terms of longevity, it sits at moderate — long enough to make a real impression. Brand country — France. Orange Chic Castelbajac unfolds gradually, effortlessly, and with great refinement — a perfect choice for day or evening.

Perfume information

Description of the composition

The olfactory structure of Orange Chic evolves as a cohesive olfactory arc, where notes flow without rush and without gaps. The signature of Castelbajac is clear from the opening to the final trail. Nothing here feels random, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Eau de parfum sets the depth and body this composition needs.

In the first seconds you detect radiant lemon-bergamot opening notes: Grapefruit, Lime, Mandarin and Orange. These 4 notes set sunny vitality that anchors the first impression immediately.

When the opening settles you detect Neroli and Orange blossom keeping a harmonious floral direction.

The accord profile is driven by these accords: Citrus, Floral and Musc with each one in a clear role. The profile is feminine, which clarifies the composition character. For persistence Middle suggests confident staying power. In diffusion Middle defines the projection profile in space.

At the note-group layer the structure relies on Citrus, Floral, Musk and Whiteflower. At family level the composition sits in Citrus.

Taken together Orange Chic reads as a cohesive composition — the start forms character, the heart develops the core line, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint. This is the type of composition best understood in wear.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

Fruits with a sour taste, and then almost pure neroli with gourmand notes. I got the impression that tonka beans or chocolate should be in the composition. It's like a budget version of Memo's Sintra. Although the fragrance is significantly lighter and more diluted, the neroli still smells similar

the scent resembles a soliflore, where neroli and orange blossom accords quickly overshadow citrus notes. a slight bitterness from the peel and the tartness of orange pulp create an interesting contrast, while sweet mandarin adds freshness. finally, musk is felt, which slightly "soaps up" the composition. overall, it's a bright and positive scent, but unfortunately, it lacks longevity

This new fragrance from the trio just blew my mind! The citruses here are so bright and invigorating, but not just plain. In the sillage, you can feel greenery and flowers, and on the skin, a taste of orange marmalade candies with bitter rinds appears. This is something incredible!
