Description of the composition

The composition of Blue Pop unfolds as an expressive line of development, where layers reveal themselves with precision and warmth. The style of Castelbajac comes through in the way notes appear and fade. Nothing here feels random, and the structure feels complete all the way through. Eau de parfum sets the right density and pace of development.

The accord architecture is built around these accords: Aromatic, Citrus and Wood without random overlap. The stylistic positioning is unisex, which makes the scent profile easier to read.

In the top tier you detect invigorating sunny top notes: Bergamot and Grapefruit. These 2 notes build a sensation of cool purity that gives the fragrance a clear opening statement.

In the heart you sense Mint keeping a lavender-sage direction. In the base the structure settles through Vetiver and White Cedar, extending a earthy woody-resinous trail.

At the note-group layer the composition is built around Aromatic, Citrus and Wood. At family level the fragrance belongs to Citrus and Wood.

In summary Blue Pop reads as a cohesive composition — the start forms character, the middle layer carries the identity, while the drydown anchors the memory. These are the scent structures best understood through real development.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

The smell reminds me of lemon cough drops, but without the sugar. In the 90s, there were candies like Mentos, and it's something similar. Then a woody note is felt, but overall the scent is cold and rather masculine. Honestly, it's the most boring one in the entire collection 😔

At first, the scent seemed completely empty and unexpressive to me, but then I thought that it's exactly what you need when you don't want anything extra, just a little refreshment 😔 And actually, it's not as simple as it seems: I struggled for a long time, trying to remember what it reminded me of, and then it hit me! It's a clone of Hermes Eau de Merveille or its Ombre version! 😕 The combination of citrus, grapefruit with mint or green vetiver here is truly unusual and unfamiliar. But this similarity is created by completely different ingredients. How nice it is to make such discoveries, even if they don't exactly cheer the soul! 😢

To be honest, the scent didn't impress me. Citrus notes, yes, they're there, but that doesn't save the situation. Bergamot is definitely involved, but vetiver doesn't add anything special either. All in all, it's just so-so, not worth the attention 😒

The scent, in my opinion, is too dry due to vetiver, and it gives the impression that it's more suitable for men. It has a pleasant bitterness, citrus freshness, and a minty accent, but as it develops, it loses its individuality. It becomes somewhat shapeless, dry, and fresh, but without clear boundaries. There's a certain emptiness, as if something is missing
