Fragrance information:

Since 1921, Emeraude Coty has never stopped surprising. By character, a feminine fragrance drawing from the east and floral families. The fragrance was crafted by perfumer François Coty. Emeraude is part of the Emeraude collection. Released in eau de cologne.

The sillage is delicate — an intimate cloud that stays close to the skin. The longevity of this fragrance is moderate — exactly what most occasions call for. Country of origin — France. A rich, layered composition that reveals itself differently depending on your mood and the time of day.

Perfume information

Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Emeraude unfolds as a layered story, where accents shift smoothly and sequentially. The style of Coty is evident from the opening to the final trail. Every decision feels deliberate, and the structure feels complete all the way through. Eau de Cologne sets the depth and body this composition needs.

At olfactory-group level the profile is anchored in Citrus, Whiteflower, Floral and Wood. It also reaches into Ambery, Balsamic and Gourmet. From a family perspective the fragrance belongs to East and Floral.

Right at the start you meet sparkling citrus first notes: Bergamot, Lemon and Orange.

In the heart you notice Jasmine, Rose, Rosewood and ylang-ylang keeping a silky white floral direction.

The internal accord map rests on these accords: Balsamic, Citrus, Gourmet and Floral without random overlap. Additional accords such as Wood, Amber and Spicy expand the olfactory volume in the background. The gender direction is feminine, which clarifies the composition character. In longevity terms Middle suggests confident staying power.

Taken together Emeraude reads as a cohesive composition — the opening sets direction, the heart develops the core line, and the base secures the trail. This is the type of composition best understood on skin.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. This fragrance really reminds me of Shalimar, but it's much lighter and softer! No cologne feel at all, which is great. It perfectly combines resins, cherry pits, woody notes, and citruses - all of it smells very natural and pleasant. The fragrance pyramid is balanced with great delicacy. And the absence of that annoying green note - that's just super! It creates a woody-rosewood cloud that envelops you. The scent is bitter-sweet with a light powdery nuance. If you apply it to your hair, it will be simply gorgeous! For the fragrance to leave a trail, you need to apply it with soul ))

The scent is truly natural, you can feel it. There's a lot of vanilla here, but the sillage isn't too noticeable. The delicate vanilla, though not edible, leaves a strange feeling. As if something is slipping away, and that makes me sad ))

I have a version of the fragrance in a bottle with a crown-like cap. At first, many herbal notes are felt, and then they rapidly transition into vanilla, which remains in the base. The scent is somewhat reminiscent of Shalimar, but it has its own peculiarities: Shalimar in the base is lighter and more floral, while Emeraude emphasizes vanilla and herbs 💫

This daytime perfume can't be called too bright or too persistent, but you can't call it unnoticeable either. I bought the modern version of the cologne with this strange cap, but, honestly, I can't bring myself to call it a cologne. This fragrance seems to belong to that category that unfolds differently on each person. Despite this, it's truly beautiful, and I would compare it to fragrances like Shalimar or Habanita 😔

I had Vintage. Too heavy and oriental, more evening. May appeal to fans of Guerlain Shalimar and similar, resembles them

These perfumes! I bought them thinking they were vintage, but they clearly don't live up to the claimed years. The scent is very pleasant, ambery, a bit dry and with a slight tartness, it has woody and slightly bitter notes. I noticed that when they warm up on the skin, they become deeper and even somehow fluffier. This is definitely an autumn scent, especially for late autumn 🍂
