The composition of Ashes evolves as a layered story, where notes flow without rush and without gaps. The creative approach of Franck Boclet is evident from the opening to the final trail. Every decision feels deliberate, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail. Eau de parfum supports the depth and body this composition needs.

As soon as the fragrance opens you sense cardamom-peppery top notes: Clove and Wormwood. These 2 notes shape piquant dynamism that gives the fragrance a clear opening statement.

In the heart you detect Atlas Cedar, Guaiac wood, Patchouli and Virginian Cedar keeping a velvety sandalwood direction.

The accord architecture rests on these accords: Balsamic, Musc, Wood and Amber forming a compact and readable structure. Additional accords such as Spicy add depth to the backdrop. The stylistic positioning is unisex, which makes the scent profile easier to read.

From the group perspective the profile is anchored in Ambery, Balsamic, Green and Musk. The palette also extends to Wood, Spicy and Gourmet.

The scent is truly dense, like morning fog. Wooden notes with a light smokiness don't overpower, but rather create an atmosphere of coziness. Frankincense brings tranquility, and it makes you want to wrap yourself in a warm blanket, settle into an armchair by the fireplace, gently swaying, and enjoy mulled wine to the soft crooning of Ashes

Franck Boclet has released a new fragrance that once again plunges us into a world of wood, incense, and spices. If in previous versions the notes sounded too light, here the situation is different. Wormwood and clove in the top notes create an atmosphere, preparing us for a woody-patchouli heart where the warm smoke of incense plays its part. This fragrance reminds me of Azzaro Visit Man, but with some differences. The spices get lost in the drydown, woody notes fade into the background, while frankincense, guaiac wood, and residual patchouli become the main characters. The sillage isn't too strong, but it's rich and dense!!!

What an amazing men's fragrance! It has a freshness and lightness, and the woody notes add depth. There's a bit of sweetness and frankincense, which makes it interesting. It has a distinctly pronounced character, yet at the same time, it's very pleasant. It's surprising how it combines cold and warm nuances. I detect a slight bitterness and herbal accents. It reminds me of Christine Nagel's work with rhubarb, but at the same time, it's something completely unique.
