Identity and Release History

Welcome to the world of L'Occitane en Provence, where every drop of perfume tells a story of Provence.

The fragrance Figuier & Osmanthus Eau de Toilette, released in 2015, is a gem in La Collection de Grasse.

This collection is dedicated to exquisite fragrances from the Grasse region, the heart of French perfumery.

The brand L'Occitane en Provence, founded by Olivier Baussan in 1976, has grown from a small Provençal philosophy into a global legend, inspired by nature and traditions.

Figuier & Osmanthus embodies this DNA, offering a fresh and natural perfume that transports you to lavender fields and olive groves.

Fragrance Pyramid and Its Development

The fragrance begins its journey with bright top notes of bergamot, black currant, and fig, creating a cheerful and fruity introduction.

In the heart of the composition, fig and delicate osmanthus dominate, adding floral and sweet accents with hints of apricot.

The base anchors the fragrance with warm notes of white cedar and musk, ensuring longevity and depth.

This perfume belongs to the fruity and woody families, with notes from the citrus, floral, fruity, green, and woody groups, making it multifaceted and interesting for discussion among connoisseurs.

Positioning and Wearability

Figuier & Osmanthus is a unisex fragrance that suits both men and women seeking freshness and naturalness.

As an eau de toilette, it offers a light and refreshing formula, perfect for daily use.

Its moderate sillage provides moderate longevity without overwhelming others, making it a complimentary choice.

The fragrance is especially good for warm seasons—spring and summer—when its fruity-floral notes shine in the sun.

It is excellent for the office, dates, or nature walks, adding a touch of Provençal charm to any scenario.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

This scent reminds me of something lost, like sweet greens with a light hint of apricot kernel. It's truly unusual, with such charisma that it stays in your memory for a long time 🍑

The scent is really interesting, like everything from this brand, but its lightness is deceptive. Specific fig notes are clearly discernible here, and they're not entirely light for my perception. In the beginning, it seems fresh and fruity, but towards the base, a dryness and roughness appear, which intensifies. This dusty nuance becomes more and more intrusive, and at some point starts to tickle the nose

Summer scent, overall, quite pleasant. However, the fig leaf slightly spoils the impression - its greenness is too tart. But the blackcurrant and bergamot at the beginning sound just great. In a nutshell, freshness and fruitiness are what this eau de toilette is all about. There's no apricot scent, of course, but something similar is present. Overall, it lifts the mood, and the woody base with musk is also pleasing. It lasts about five hours on the skin, no more. The only thing is, I've only seen it for sale a couple of times, and then they stopped stocking it

The new product really grabs attention. The scent, in my opinion, is suitable for any time of year and situation, even without a special occasion. It's capable of creating the right mood on its own. It's worth saying that the depth of the fragrance is impressive, although it doesn't have a lot of facets. The notes aren't too diverse, but a sense of voluminous sound is still felt

This year, osmanthus fragrances have simply flooded the market, all brands have gotten hooked on it. Just a trend, that's all. But the scent itself, to be honest, isn't impressive. If it weren't for the fig, which many people like, hardly anyone would pay attention to it at all. And mono-osmanthus - that's a complete mystery to me. On the skin, it leaves some strange sourness, not fresh, but here, it seems, that's not felt. Or did I just not catch it
