Identity and Release History

Discover Eau de Cade, an exquisite men's fragrance from L'Occitane en Provence, which debuted in 2014.

Inspired by the landscapes of Provence, this perfume, also known in Russia as “Loksitan Kade,” embodies the spirit of the region where the brand began its journey with rosemary oil in 1976 under the leadership of founder Olivier Baussan.

L'Occitane en Provence grew from humble beginnings in the heart of Provence, among lavender fields and olive groves, and today is a global perfumery legend, valuing natural ingredients and authenticity.

This fragrance continues the brand's traditions, offering a unique blend of local charm and modern perfumery.

Pyramid and Unfolding

The aromatic composition of Eau de Cade is built on the harmony of citrus, spicy, and woody notes, belonging to the aromatic and woody families.

It smoothly unfolds from a fresh start to a warm base, creating a multifaceted experience that surprises and inspires with each application.

Positioning and Wearability

This perfume is intended for men and is offered in the concentration of eau de toilette.

With a barely perceptible sillage, it is ideal for daily use, adding understated elegance to any look.

Thanks to its freshness and lightness, Eau de Cade excels as a companion for warm days, business meetings, or informal events, without overwhelming those around.

Its delicate character makes it a versatile choice for those who value subtlety and elegance.

Creators and Influence

The creator of this fragrance is perfumer Karine Dubreuil, whose expertise allowed for a balanced composition reflecting the Provençal heritage of the brand.

Eau de Cade enhances the reputation of L'Occitane en Provence as a producer of quality perfumes with regional charm, strengthening its position on the global stage.

Description of the composition

The fragrance Eau de Cade opens with refreshing top notes: bergamot provides citrus freshness, immortelle adds a balsamic sweetness, and petitgrain introduces green accents.

In the heart of the composition, woody and spicy elements unfold: cedar provides a solid foundation, and pink pepper adds spiciness and energy.

The base consists of warm and lasting notes: iris softens the composition with its powdery texture, juniper and juniper berries provide a characteristic woody-berry aura, and labdanum concludes everything with a resinous warmth.

This pyramid belongs to the citrus, spicy, and woody groups, creating a complex and appealing profile that smoothly evolves on the skin.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

A scent with coniferous notes, citrus, and spices. Indeed, it's very attractive. Although it's considered masculine, I happily use it at home

A juniper-based fragrance for men, quite good. It smells natural, doesn't feel chemical, not too harsh. Delicate and noble - that's definitely it. Overall, it's worth trying if you want something new and interesting

L'Occitane bottles, resembling flasks, have taken over everywhere: in 'City' bathrooms, in abandoned Italian perfumery displays, and in small Grasse shops. Eau de Cade is just a terrible juniper cologne that smells as if it was made from resin and cedar remnants. For everyday? Nah, only if you really don't know what else to choose. The budget is limited, but that's no reason to tolerate such nonsense 😒

Juniper sounds quite bright and energetic. Wood is felt, but more as a background. The fragrance is refined, gentlemanly, sophisticated. You can confidently give it to men, I think they should like it

The juniper here is natural, of course, but the woody notes somehow intrude too aggressively on the nose. After vetiver was removed, this scent became almost the only tolerable one from L'Occitane 😒

The perfume is just super. The brand is really interesting and not like everyone else's

I bought this perfume as part of a set with grooming products for my husband, decided to give him a gift. I took a risk since I hadn't tested it beforehand, but luckily, I wasn't wrong - the scent suited him perfectly. The entire line, including face cream, shaving gel, and balm, exudes an incredibly pleasant smell - it's like it speaks of style and well-groomedness. The fragrance isn't too intrusive, stays close to the skin, but is quite long-lasting. At first, there's a hint of juniper, and then a deep woody accord unfolds, warm yet restrained. For me, it's versatile: cozy at home, and a true classic at work
