Arturetto Landi is one of the iconic figures of Italian perfumery, whose journey into the world of fragrances began in 1949 in picturesque Lerici. His education as a chemist provided a solid foundation, but his true calling was the art of perfumery, which he began to master in 1976 at the legendary company Haarmann & Reimer (now Symrise). Having worked his way up from laboratory assistant to titled "nose," Landi was ready to present his first creations to the world in 1980.

Career: from big names to niche freedom

His career is a story of evolution from working with mainstream giants to deeply personal creativity in a niche segment. His early successes are associated with the German brand Mode Creation Munich, for which he created cult fragrances of the 80s and 90s, such as MCM Obelisk and MCM Blue Paradise. This was followed by a fruitful six-year partnership with Diesel, which gave the world the rebellious Plus Plus Masculine. The turning point came in 2005 when Landi joined Mane, which opened the door to the world of independent brands: Biehl Parfumkunstwerke, The People Of The Labyrinths, and Torre of Tuscany.

The creative universe of Art Landi Profumi

The thirst for absolute creative freedom led to a logical step—in 2014, Arturetto Landi founded his own brand, Art Landi Profumi / Profumi d`Art. It became a space for the most daring experiments. The debut collection immediately demonstrated the diversity of his style, and subsequent works, such as the floral-fruity Art 09 Karo Karounde or the brutal Art 10 Vetiver Weeds, confirmed Landi's status as a visionary who is not afraid of complex themes.

The Italian soul in fragrances

Today, Arturetto Landi is a true ambassador of the Italian school of perfumery, working closely with local niche houses. His talent has infused brands such as Pantheon Roma with the spirit of Italy, creating the passionate Dolce Passione and the elegant Trastevere for them. He embodied the beauty of Carrara marble in a trio of fragrances for I Profumi Del Marmo, among which the sensual Statuario stands out. And for Rocco Ragni, he created the incredibly cozy and soft compositions Cashmere Sandalwood and Cashmere Tuberose.
