Who is Elise Bena

Elise Bena is a contemporary perfumer whose talent was developed within the walls of the legendary Firmenich company, one of the world's leading fragrance companies. Her path from her first experiences in the mass-market to the authorship of cult niche compositions is a story of diligence and impeccable taste. Today, the name Elise Benat is associated with refined, emotional perfumes that capture the hearts of connoisseurs around the world.

Career: from the first steps to recognition

The perfumer's career began with the creation of successful fragrances for a wide audience. Her early works include the fresh Aire Allegro for Loewe, the sensual Paris by Night Pour Femme for S.T. Dupont and the best-selling Paris by Night Pour Femme for S.T. Dupont. Dupont and bestsellers for giants such as Avon and Oriflame. It was for Oriflame that Elise created the incredibly popular Happydisiac Woman, proving her ability to sense the demands of the market.

The turning point was 2016, when Bena made her debut in the niche segment. The fragrances Voyage en Inde for Rituals and Affecting Mind for M.INT demonstrated her depth and ability to work with complex compositions. This success opened the door to collaborations with Korloff Paris, Roger & Gallet and Monart Parfums, and laid the foundation for fruitful work with the Russian brand Faberlic.

Style and Perfume Handwriting

Elise Bena's style is a masterful combination of naturalism and emotional imagery. She works masterfully with chords that conjure up stories, from the coolness of a sea breeze to the warmth of a sunny garden. Her fragrances are often built around bright floral or juicy fruit notes, complemented by transparent woody or spicy accents, creating a sense of freshness, lightness and sophistication.

Landmark fragrances and iconic collaborations

A real breakthrough for Elise Bena was her collaboration with luxury house Amouage. In 2017, she presented the Beach Hut Man fragrance, an innovative beach composition without a drop of nautical notes. And in 2019, her calling card was born - the delicate and sunny Love Mimosa, created in tandem with Amouage Creative Director Christopher Chong. To this day, this spirit remains one of the favorites in her portfolio.

In parallel, the perfumer actively creates hits for other brands. Her popular works include the floral and fruity Sunkiss Garden for Oriflame, the delicate Laura Tender for Laura Biagiotti, as well as elegant compositions for Jil Sander and the young niche house Maison Matine. Her contributions to the Faberlic catalog, such as Melodie and Celsius, have also received widespread acclaim.

A place in the industry and a glimpse into the future

Elise Bena has confidently taken her place among the sought-after contemporary 'noses', masterfully balancing commercial projects and niche art. Her ability to create affordable yet sophisticated perfumes that resonate with a diverse audience is a rare gift.
