Master of fragrances for the heart of the Brazilian market

Isaac Sinclair is one of the most sought-after contemporary perfumers, whose name is inextricably linked with the flourishing of Brazil's perfume culture. Working as a master perfumer at the giant Symrise, he has skillfully combined international experience with a deep understanding of local preferences, creating iconic fragrances for both the mass and niche segments. His journey is a story of how talent, multiplied by cultural sensitivity, wins the hearts of millions.

From Auckland to Paris: the origins of a perfumer's journey

Born in 1980 in Auckland, New Zealand, Isaac Sinclair brought his passion for fragrances to the heart of the perfume world—Paris. His career began with an internship at Symrise under the personal mentorship of the legendary Maurice Roucel, which laid the foundation for his impeccable taste and technical mastery. Further training at the Università dell'Immagine in Milan enriched his perception, adding an understanding of visual aesthetics and fashion to the art of smell.

Brazilian debut and first wave of success

The turning point came in 2010, when Sinclair moved to São Paulo to head up Symrise's creative projects for the Latin American region. He quickly became the voice of the Brazilian perfume market, starting with the creation of accessible and emotional compositions for direct sales giants. His first hits were for Natura, Racco, and Jequiti, winning the love of a wide audience.

Iconic fragrances for global brands

Sinclair's talent for creating memorable, high-quality perfumes was soon recognized by international houses. For Avon, he created sensational perfumes in collaboration with top model Luiza Brunet — the sensual Luiza Brunet Poderosa and the radiant Luiza Brunet Radiance. His men's composition Ganache Tonka for Zara proved his ability to work in the premium segment of the mass market.

Architect of a new era of niche perfumery Abel

His long-standing collaboration with the niche brand Abel was a real creative breakthrough. Sinclair effectively reimagined its DNA by creating a 2016 capsule collection that became a new classic. It included the sunny Golden Neroli, the languid Cobalt Amber, and the pure White Vetiver. Later, the line was expanded with such masterpieces as the delicate Pink Iris and the meditative Cyan Nori.

An expert in diversity: from luxury to niche

The perfumer's portfolio is impressive in its range. He co-authored the entire debut collection of the Brazilian niche brand L'Envie, working in tandem with Fanny Gro. For O Boticario, he created the passionate Malbec Flame, and for Mahogany, the energetic Aventure. His fragrances for L'Bel, such as New Code, are also hugely popular.

A style built on emotion and quality

Isaac Sinclair's signature style is impeccable quality of raw materials, clear structure, and vivid emotional presentation. He masterfully works with floral, woody, and amber accords, always paying special attention to naturalness and durability. His fragrances, whether the cheerful Natura Sol or the deep Abel Red Santal, always carry a positive charge and a recognizable signature.

Contribution to the industry and a look to the future

Isaac Sinclair continues to be a key figure shaping the perfume landscape of Latin America and beyond. His ability to create hits for a wide range of audiences, from mass market fans to niche connoisseurs, makes him a unique creator of the modern era. Each of his new fragrances is a long-awaited event, confirming his status as a master who speaks the universal language of beauty and emotion.
