The composition of Oud is shaped as a cohesive olfactory arc, where accents shift without rush and without gaps. The style of Aaron Terence Hughes is recognizable in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. As soon as the fragrance opens you sense dry leather opening note: Leather accord. Exactly this 1 note sets the effect of expensive suede that gives the fragrance a clear opening statement.

When the opening settles you notice Ambergris and Damask Rose carrying a softly spicy direction.

It's an interesting combo, but you can definitely feel the restraint. The 'East' here feels more like a colonial style, almost made for a European palate. The scent of polished wood mixes with leather and the freshness of morning roses. Can't tell if I like it or not!!
