Fragrance information:

Discover Showy Toffee, a bright and memorable fragrance from the French brand Alice & Peter, launched in 2012.

This eau de parfum is created for women and belongs to the oriental and gourmand fragrance families. It is a true dessert in the world of perfumery, evoking a feeling of sweet carefree bliss.

Brand History and Philosophy

The Alice & Peter brand was born in France in 2012 and has become an embodiment of joy and a return to childhood.

Showy Toffee fits this concept perfectly: it is like an invitation to a confectionery shop, where the air is filled with aromas of caramel, chocolate, and vanilla intertwined with delicate flowers.

It is a mood-lifting fragrance created for those who love to stand out and savor every moment.

Character and Sillage

Showy Toffee has a very strong sillage — you certainly will not go unnoticed. The fragrance is intense and sweet, yet not cloying, thanks to its herbaceous-citrus top notes.

Perfect for evening outings, cold weather, or special occasions when you want to surround yourself with a cloud of warm comfort. A few sprays on your skin and clothes, and your look is complete.

What to Pair It With?

If Showy Toffee has captured your heart, be sure to try similar fragrances: Escada Magnetism, Chanel Allure Eau de Toilette, and Faberlic Chocolate Story.

Each of them explores the theme of sweetness and elegance in its own way.

Description of the composition

The olfactory pyramid of Showy Toffee is built on contrasts. The top notes—fresh lemon and green grass—provide an invigorating opening.

Then, at the heart, a bouquet of delicate freesia, sweet lilac, noble rose, and aquatic water lily unfolds.

The base features warm amber, sweet caramel, dark chocolate, earthy patchouli, and soft vanilla.

This complex composition transforms into a rich gourmand cocktail that lingers on the skin for a long time.

The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

Totally unimpressed by this scent. The toffee note is kinda dry and scratchy, and rose with vanilla don't save it either. The sweetness is just awful, like someone poured sand down my throat 😤

This fragrance from the cute cupcake collection totally didn't impress me. Unlike Bloody Orange and Wicked Berry, it doesn't stand out with interesting nuances, any depth, or even that playful mood. Just a monotonous toffee, a bit with floral notes, too sweet and boring. Reminds me of a cheap dupe of Prada Candy 😒
