Description of the composition

The composition of Woody is shaped as a living composition, where layers reveal themselves smoothly and sequentially. The creative approach of Arabian Oud comes through from the opening to the final trail. No excess details, only what works, and the structure feels complete all the way through. Perfume extract sets a balanced rhythm of unfolding.

At the opening of the pyramid you detect dry woody top notes: Oud, Rose and Saffron. These 3 notes form lasting warm resonance that is impossible to miss.

In the middle phase you sense Ambergris, Sandalwood and musk keeping a golden-amber direction.

The internal accord map is built around these accords: Floral, Musc, Wood and Amber with each one in a clear role. Background accords such as Spicy enrich the profile without taking over. The stylistic positioning is unisex, which makes the scent profile easier to read.

From the group perspective the composition is built around Wood, Floral, Spicy and Ambery. It also reaches into Musk and Gourmet. At family level the composition sits in East and Wood.

Taken together Woody reads as a cohesive composition — the opening sets direction, the heart develops the core line, and the base secures the trail. These are the fragrances best understood in wear.

The fragrance perfectly matches the description, as if all the notes are in place. First, rose, saffron, and oud dominate, then amber and sandalwood join them, and in the finale, an oriental spice with saffron and oud is heard, with musk subtly appearing somewhere in the distance. The packaging is simply gorgeous, a real wooden log, with a hand-carved recess inside for the bottle. In the base, it resembles other oriental fragrances from ARABIAN OUD. All the characteristics are excellent - longevity, projection, sillage, everything is top-notch. I recommend it, as Alex Kap said 😔

Most likely, this is a perfume for daytime use. The woody notes are too intense, tobacco with rose reminds me of something already outdated. Sometimes it feels like you're inhaling the smell of old wood. Although I myself prefer such fragrances, this one is clearly more suitable for men 😒

The Orient here is truly bright and spicy. Rose feels very rich, and oud with warm spices gives the fragrance a special loudness. If you overdo it with the amount, it can become too intrusive. Personally, I couldn't get along with this scent, as I'm not yet ready for such pronounced oud notes
