Identity and Inspiration

Attar Collection Azalea, released in 2020, is a perfume water that transports you to a world of eastern fairy tale.

The fragrance was created by the brand Attar Collection, founded in the UAE in 2015, and represents a harmony of ancient traditions and modern design.

Azalea is part of the Attars Eau de Parfum collection and is positioned as a unisex fragrance, covering the Eastern, Gourmet, and Sweet families, making it multifaceted and attractive.

The name "Azalea" evokes associations with a flowering plant, but the composition builds a more complex image – it is not limited to floral notes, but includes citrus, sweet, and balsamic chords, reflecting the richness of eastern perfumery.

From Arabian treasures to worldwide recognition, this brand since 2015 boldly combines exoticism with elegance, and Azalea is a vivid confirmation of that.

Scent Development

The beginning of Azalea is an explosion of freshness, where cedrat (citron), ylang-ylang, and orchid create a bright and floral chord.

As it develops, in the heart appear heliotrope, marzipan, rose, and vanilla, adding creamy sweetness and romanticism.

In the base, musk (white musk), myrrh, and sandalwood provide a warm and lasting finish, characteristic of high-quality eastern fragrances.

Who It's For and How to Wear It

Attar Collection Azalea is a universal choice for those who appreciate sweet and exotic scents.

Its moderate trail makes it suitable for evening outings, dates, or special occasions, especially in cool seasons like autumn and winter.

As a perfume water, it offers good longevity, and for optimal effect, it is recommended to apply 1 to 2 sprays on the skin and 1 to 2 sprays on clothing.

The fragrance is complimentary and can become your signature scent, revealing individuality regardless of gender.

Creator and Collection

The creation of Azalea was worked on by perfumer Lutz Vaquero, known for his ability to combine traditional and modern notes.

His approach adds depth and emotionality to the fragrance, making it not just a perfume, but a story.

This release strengthens Attar Collection's position as a brand that boldly experiments with eastern motifs, attracting fans of niche perfumery.

Composition

The note pyramid of Attar Collection Azalea is a masterfully constructed story that begins with freshness and transitions into sweetness and warmth.

In the top notes, cedrat (citron), ylang-ylang, and orchid dominate, creating a bright and appealing start.

This combination of groups citrus, floral, sweet, gourmand, musky, balsamic, white floral, and woody makes Azalea a complex and multifaceted fragrance that will unfold on the skin throughout the day.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

A captivating floral-powdery scent, but with a mystery. Ylang-ylang and orchid are mostly noticeable, but there's something else too. The sweetness here is appropriate, not overwhelming, and a slight bitterness adds intrigue. Longevity is excellent, and the bottle is simply gorgeous ))

The bottle, to be honest, doesn't look as attractive in reality as others in this series. It reminds me of nail polish, as if it's painted with lacquer. But the fragrance is a whole different story. It's strange, sweet, and has a special note. I liked the sweet almond, but overall it seems a bit oily. Its longevity is impressive, it projects quite loudly, something like Khalthat Night. Overall, I can't decide if I like it or not

I tried this fragrance and was left completely puzzled. At first, it reminds me of Tom Ford's Velvet Orchid, but it smells somewhat rough and clumsy. On the skin, it turns into something like damp cardboard. And then some cloying sweetness emerges again. Honestly, I even felt the urge to get rid of this decant

My colleague got into perfumery and has now immersed herself in the world of oriental fragrances. Today, in a stuffy room with the heating on, we almost suffocated. She came in wearing Azalee, and this scent is definitely not for heat or enclosed spaces. Its unusual sweetness and balsamic quality can simply be suffocating

Yesterday I tried the new product, and it surprised me. The bottle looks attractive, I wouldn't say it's cheap - the coating is even and high-quality. But the design wasn't lucky; if the bottle leaks, it will quickly spoil. The fragrance, however, is a separate story, it's very rich and dense, with a cyanidic-powdery heliotrope at the forefront. I would say it's something between powdery and gourmand fragrances. For winter, I think it will be excellent ❄️

The bottle looks good in the photo, but this lilac color is already tiresome. The pyramid, of course, is interesting, but the solo of rose with orchid and marzipan - that's something strange. I don't know how it will smell, but I don't really believe it. And as for Russia - who knows if it will even reach us

This bottle has already caused a stir on Instagram, and some places have even started decanting it. Marzipan in the pyramid caught my attention, and honestly, I also like fragrances from Attar Collection

The bottles are getting more and more attractive, but I can't agree with the fragrances. Vanilla is again in the foreground, and I don't like it. Although, maybe I'll get lucky, like with Hayati, and this fragrance will also turn out to be interesting. Every perfume needs to be tried to understand how it will unfold on the skin. It's impossible to do without a test. So, of course, I'll take a look, the bottle looks very tempting 😌

Wow, how wonderfully the orchid feels! Sweet, balsamic notes are simply enchanting. The oriental fragrance is truly beautiful. I would recommend wearing it in colder weather. It unfolds softly and gently, creating an amazing impression

Powdery fragrances are my weakness, but this one, unfortunately, didn't impress. The powderiness feels more like something dusty than a delicate scent. And also, I think there's some bitterness here, reminiscent of artemisia, although it's not actually present. Maybe it's just the play of citron or marzipan 🤔

The bottle looks very attractive, like some kind of vase. But the fragrance itself didn't impress me at all. When I tested it, it turned out to be somewhat vague, unclear. Heliotrope seems to be the most prominent, but the almond isn't very pleasant for me. By the way, I barely smell any rose. Overall, it's sweetish-balsamic and powdery. A disappointment, to be honest )
