Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Boucheron Oud de Carthage unfolds as an exciting journey: in the top notes incense and honey create a warm and sweet opening, reminiscent of ancient Eastern rituals.

At the heart of the composition, labdanum and tonka bean add spicy depth and a velvety texture, smoothly transitioning to the base notes.

The fragrance is completed by a leather accord and oud, which provide a lasting, resinous, and slightly animalic base, perfectly balancing with the initial sweet accents.

This composition gradually unfolds on the skin, from a honeyed glow to a woody-leather aura, creating a multifaceted and memorable impression.

The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

I added this fragrance to my plans, but when it was time to buy, I realized I could do without it. The opening is indeed beautiful, with honeyed and sunny notes, but then everything changes. Oud is certainly present, but it's somehow too refined, like an aristocrat, yet completely uninteresting 😕

Honey-woody nonsense. The scent is interesting, of course, but there's almost no leather there, you can barely feel that bitter aftertaste. Overall, I liked it, it's not that ordinary, it has its own vibe. It's long-lasting, yes, and has a decent sillage, but not without its flaws

Oud with honey is simply a bomb! The scent is incredibly rich and sweet, it just draws you in. Longevity is excellent, which is great. It creates an atmosphere of warmth and coziness, you want to enjoy it endlessly ✨

A honey fragrance, thick and sweet. Impressive, although the composition is quite unusual and intricate. In reality, this scent isn't as scary as it seems at first glance

Honey nectar, yes, that's right. I feel leather, oud too, and a little frankincense. The fragrance is enveloping, bright, long-lasting, leaving a sillage. I can't figure out if I like it or not, there's something mysterious about it ))

I got something completely different from what I wanted. The opening with frankincense is smoky and sour, right in your face. Very bright, almost screaming. And honey, it was as if it wasn't there. Towards the heart notes, everything quiets down. Labdanum is not bad, but tonka beans are barely noticeable. I expected sweetness from honey and beans, but it's not there. Towards the base, the scent becomes very quiet. To catch anything, you literally have to press your nose to your skin. Where's the leather? Where's the oud? They're not there, just a barely perceptible woody trail )

The scent is truly amazing! It combines honey and woody notes, with a slight accent on leather. It seems made for winter, so rich and dense. Suitable for both men and women. Longevity is simply excellent, the sillage is impressive, yet it's very comfortable to wear!!

European oud is simply a nightmare. None of the sophistication usually attributed to this fragrance. Thick, yes, but what's the point if you only hear oud and a little sweetness, as if someone dropped some resin. No depth, just monotony and boredom
