Identity and Release History

Imagine a fragrance that transports you to Turkish rose fields from the very first spray — this is Boucheron Rose d'Isparta, released in 2020.

As part of Boucheron La Collection, this perfume continues the glorious tradition of the house of Boucheron, where jewelry art intertwines with perfumery craftsmanship, creating something truly radiant and unique.

The name refers to the Isparta region in Turkey, known for its luxurious roses, immediately setting the tone for an oriental tale in a bottle.

Positioning and Wearability

Rose d'Isparta is a women's fragrance in the form of perfume water, which is ideal for those seeking a balance between tenderness and passion.

Its medium trail envelops you in a soft yet steady cloud, without overwhelming others, and the dosage is recommended as enter the cloud — on skin and clothing, to enjoy the full development without overdoing it.

This fragrance belongs to the Floral and Oriental families, making it versatile for cool evenings or special occasions.

If you enjoyed this blend of rose and spices, it's worth paying attention to similar fragrances, such as Montale Chypre Vanille, Floraïku Sound of a Ricochet, or Michael Kors Starlight Shimmer.

Authors and Influence

Behind the creation of this magic is the talented Sonia Constant, a perfumer who skillfully combines traditional notes with modern accents.

Her work on Rose d'Isparta not only strengthens Boucheron's reputation as a brand capable of turning jewels into fragrances but also brings a fresh breeze to the world of floral-oriental compositions, offering an experience that is both refined and emotionally rich.

Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Boucheron Rose d'Isparta is a true journey through Eastern bazaars.

In the top notes, you are greeted by ambrette, ginger and incense, creating a spicy-green accord that invigorates and intrigues from the first seconds.

The heart of the composition unfolds with a luxurious bouquet with rose at the center, surrounded by freesia, hawthorn, cinnamon and saffron, adding warmth and floral tenderness.

In the base, amber, sandalwood, tonka bean, vanilla and musk reign, providing a long-lasting, sweet-woody finale that envelops the skin like silk.

This complex pyramid combines notes from the groups floral, spicy, woody, amber, gourmand, green and balsamic, making each layer of the fragrance multifaceted and memorable.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

This line from the brand is simply amazing! True luxury that you feel from the first breath. The composition is intriguing, especially the opening with ambrette, frankincense, and ginger. I haven't had a chance to try it yet, but I definitely will! )

The scent turned out to be quite complex, and the rose in it doesn't seem to be at the forefront. I mostly detect honey notes with a sharp ginger undertone. The rose only appeared the next day, when the scent from the blotter had almost faded. Interesting, but I can't figure out if I like it or not )

I never caught rose in this perfume, but I did realize that cinnamon and hawthorn smell like dried cherries. The composition turned out quite spicy and dry-woody, with interesting stages of development and smooth changes over time. In the sillage, I smell sweet cinnamon with tonka beans, which is, of course, an acquired taste, but the fragrance is cozy, almost edible!! After three hours, I felt like washing it off, and so I did. There was a sense of oversaturation. It's quite diffusive and smells strongest from a blotter. Moreover, it's very tenacious and not so easy to wash off the skin. Personally, I don't need such a small sample

I can't say it's anything outstanding. The smell reminds me of rose water with flowers, and the woody base isn't impressive. Where are the cinnamon and saffron? There are some spices and tartness, but they don't stand out. Overall, the fragrance didn't make much of an impression on me, quite mediocre)))

The scent is truly beautiful, but it seems too strict and demanding. Ginger at the beginning sounds soft and fresh, without sharp notes. Incense adds a tartness and spiciness, and its light smokiness pairs perfectly with hawthorn flowers, which are warm and spicy on their own, and then with rose. Rose oil is present here, although I don't like it. But, I must admit, in combination with incense, it looks very harmonious. The base isn't as bright, but warm and pleasant. There are many contrasts in the fragrance, which I like. Longevity is about 7 hours, the sillage is noticeable at first, and then becomes more intimate 🌸

Boucheron perfumery commands my respect. This brand truly looks noble and exquisite. The bottle is a delicate pink, so soft and pleasant to look at. But with the notes, in my opinion, it's not all that simple. Frankincense is immediately noticeable at the start, which is quite unusual. Then, as the fragrance develops, cinnamon appears along with rose. This gives it a spicy character. And in the base, you can detect sandalwood, tonka beans, and vanilla - quite rich and heavy. I think this fragrance will be especially appropriate in autumn when the weather starts to get colder
