This perfume, part of the Lou Lou collection, emerged in an era of bold women's fragrances, reflecting the spirit of the time with its daring sensuality and romance.

The brand Cacharel, founded by Jean Bousquet, has embodied French chic for over sixty years, and Lou Lou became one of its signature works, solidifying the house's reputation in the world of perfumery.

Released in the height of the 80s, Lou Lou quickly gained popularity among women seeking a fragrance that combines power and elegance.

Its history is closely tied to the brand, symbolizing Cacharel's shift towards creating memorable, emotional compositions.

Positioning and Character of the Fragrance

Lou Lou is a women's fragrance in the form of perfume water, with a medium trail that leaves a subtle yet noticeable trace.

It is perfect for evening outings, special occasions, or romantic encounters, thanks to its intense and sensual character.

Its character can be described as passionate and elegant, making it a versatile choice for confident women.

Creators and Influence of Lou Lou

The creation of this masterpiece was handled by talented perfumers Annegret Beier and Jean Guichard, who infused Lou Lou with their experience and creative vision.

Lou Lou had a significant influence on the brand Cacharel, strengthening its position in the perfume market and becoming a symbol of female strength and romance.

This release helped Cacharel expand its audience and remain relevant in a changing industry, demonstrating how classics can maintain their appeal.

Description of the composition

Note Pyramid and Unveiling of Lou Lou: The note pyramid of Lou Lou is a true journey through sensual layers, starting with a bright opening.

The top notes include anise, black currant leaf, and cinnamon, which create a spicy-fruity explosion, complemented by the floral accents of iris, jasmine, lily, mimosa, plum, and violet.

This initial impression is charged with energy and intrigue.

In the heart of the fragrance, softer and more floral facets unfold with notes of heliotrope, iris, orange blossom (flor de orange), tuberose, and ylang-ylang, adding warmth and sensuality.

The base completes the composition with cozy and long-lasting chords of benzoin, frankincense, sandalwood, vanilla, and musk, creating a durable and enveloping aftertaste.

Such a multi-layered unveiling makes Lou Lou a memorable and emotional fragrance.

The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

The fragrance, of course, isn't a masterpiece, but rather an attempt to create something significant. The vintage version in the hexagonal bottle, which I wanted so much, turned out to be a disappointment. Many reviews, yes, but that doesn't make it better. For me, it turned out to be strange, and not in a way that attracted me. Upon first testing, the scent only caused me bewilderment. What even is this? A mystery I didn't want to solve. Childhood scent? Doubtful. I didn't feel any connection to dolls or drawing. It's more a reminder of what was, but not in a positive sense. A dedication to Louise Brooks? I don't know how that relates to joy. In childhood, maybe we rejoiced, but this fragrance doesn't evoke any positive emotions. It rather depresses and leaves an unpleasant aftertaste

This perfume truly evokes warm feelings in me. It particularly unfolds in damp weather or after a shower, when the skin is a bit moist and warm. In such moments, the fragrance seems to float around, filling the space. I've noticed that it truly needs warmth and humidity for full development.

The scent is oriental, and as it develops, it becomes delicate and even creamy, creating an intimate atmosphere. But in winter, when I applied it, it smelled completely different - too bright and stuffy, with smoky flowers, reminiscent of something old-fashioned.

Ultimately, it smells wonderful on the skin, filling it with juiciness and beauty, but on clothes, unfortunately, it becomes too intrusive

I can't understand how anyone could love this scent. It's too intrusive, afterwards it always feels like an explosion in my head. And that strange note, reminiscent of gouache, just throws me off. It's amazing how anyone could even like something like this

The bottle of this fragrance reminds me of something strange and mysterious, as if I've entered a world where nothing is as it seems. Although its appearance seems frivolous, something interesting is hidden inside. Sandalwood and frankincense create a deep base, while sweet vanilla and tuberose add tenderness. Tart plum and a pinch of cinnamon give this scent a special twist. Overall, it's truly something unusual for its time

How pleasant it is when a fragrance evokes such emotions! I would say this is a real find for gourmands. Slightly smoked prunes with anise and cinnamon create an incredibly cozy feeling. There's no sweetness here, but the softness simply envelops you. Floral notes aren't very noticeable, maybe just a light powdery iris. If they were more pronounced, it would be a completely different fragrance. I have the vintage version, and it smells very delicate, without harshness or heaviness. The sillage, by the way, is almost imperceptible, which makes it ideal for daytime use. Such a fragrance definitely won't raise any unnecessary questions 🌸

The fragrance is truly amazing and multifaceted. First, a powdery note is felt, as if I've returned to the 70s, then suddenly rubber appears, followed by lipstick. After a few hours, a whole floral bouquet unfolds. It changes so unexpectedly that it's simply captivating. It's precisely for such transformations that I value it. Cacharel is on top again

This fragrance is a real gem! With it, I feel like a mysterious sorceress hiding in a forest thicket. There's so much mystery and magic in it that it's simply irresistible. One spray, and it envelops me like a soft, fragrant scarf. Femininity permeates it from start to finish: sweet notes entice, spicy ones prickle slightly, lightness attracts, and an elegant bitterness repels. You can't just approach such a woman - she knows her worth and won't waste time on trifles. This perfume is multifaceted and reveals itself anew each time, offering unexpected surprises. In cool weather, it's simply incomparable - at such moments, it has no equal. And, of course, its sillage is gorgeous! I believe that sillage is a mandatory condition for a women's fragrance. A lady leaves, but her presence remains in the air ✨

You might stumble upon this fragrance at duty-free. For me, it's true nostalgia for the nineties! It used to scare me a bit with its directness and boldness, but now it only brings back pleasant memories of those times. This perfume has such a bright individuality that today it just makes me happy!

What an amazing fragrance this is! For some, it might seem too intense, but it's simply unforgettable. Longevity is excellent, it doesn't feel heavy, and the sillage is simply captivating. It lasts on the skin all day, and, to put it briefly, it's definitely not cheap 💖

November, autumn, grey and damp all around. Summer nostalgia just overwhelms me. But there's one fragrance that saves me - LouLou Cacharel. For me, it's a real antidepressant that always lifts my spirits. It's so bright and beautiful, I just can't help but fall in love with it again and again! I love it immensely

I was given it at 17. At that time, I had no idea about perfumery, what notes might be in it. For a long time, it just sat unused, and then I decided to give it to someone older. Now I understand that I had a real gem in my hands, a luxurious composition, thought out to the smallest detail and crafted with mastery 😔

When I applied this fragrance to my wrist, I immediately remembered something that reminds me of perfumes from the nineties, like Kenzo or Eden. My first impressions weren't the most positive, and I thought it wasn't for me. But, oh miracle, after a few hours it unfolded completely differently - such a pleasant caramel sweetness appeared. It's really nice, although it didn't create any "wow" effect. In my opinion, this fragrance is perfect for women over 50. For me, it seems a bit outdated, not in the sense of retro, but rather old-fashioned. But this is just my opinion, and I'm not imposing it on anyone

The scent is truly interesting. This perfume doesn't try to please everyone, and most likely won't. It's complex, but that's its originality - it has good sillage and longevity. If it suits someone, it will definitely become a favorite))) But for those who don't like it, it might seem unpleasant and too harsh))) So, maybe some people got lucky with it, but unfortunately, I didn't (((✨

In this fragrance, in my opinion, floral benzoin clearly stands out. There are cinnamon, plum, and frankincense, which add a mysterious sweetness and smokiness. Honestly, the feeling from it is strange; I can't exactly say whether I like it or not. But, nevertheless, it unfolds quite interestingly on the skin. It's as if it lifts your mood, making you feel more energetic and lively)))

I bought it based on reviews and the pyramid. The fragrance doesn't feel oriental; it's more holistic, not breaking down into individual notes. And I definitely like that! But from Lou Lou, I expected the incense to be more prominent, and unfortunately, it's not there at all
