Perfume information

Description of the composition

The composition of Narcisse Noir is built as a continuous scent journey, where accents shift with precision and warmth. The signature of Caron is clear in the way notes appear and fade. Nothing here feels random, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail. Perfume extract sets the right density and pace of development.

At olfactory-group level the profile is anchored in Whiteflower, Citrus, Floral and Wood. The framework further includes Musk and Gourmet. From a family perspective the fragrance belongs to East and Floral.

At the opening of the pyramid you meet delicate white floral opening notes: Narcissus and Orange blossom.

In the central layer you notice Jasmine, Orange and Rose holding a sensual jasmine direction.

The internal accord map is shaped by these accords: Citrus, Floral, Musc and Wood with each one in a clear role. The stylistic positioning is feminine, which makes the scent profile easier to read. For persistence Middle points to a sustained drydown presence. In trail behavior Weak describes the way the scent radiates.

In summary Narcisse Noir holds a coherent structure — the start forms character, the heart develops the core line, while the drydown anchors the memory. These are the fragrances best judged through real development.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

3
Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

Of all Caron fragrances, this one has stayed in my wardrobe the longest. Both the perfume and the eau de toilette. The perfume was simply gorgeous, but it wasn't easy to wear. With the eau de toilette, everything is much easier - I've already used half a bottle. When it's windy, rainy, and cold outside, this fragrance seems to say: "Yes, wind, yes, slush," and doesn't promise warm sun. There's something in it that reflects gloomy weather, and that somehow makes it easier. I haven't encountered anything like it in other perfumes. Unique! Definitely worth trying this scent 💫

This fragrance is definitely not for everyone. It's difficult for men to wear, and I think even harder for women. Black Narcissus requires a special approach. It's not just a complex scent with a vintage sound, but something more. It has its own character, and it's not so easy to get along with it.

I don't know about Dracula's girlfriends, but this fragrance, despite its floral direction, is not at all cheerful. If we talk about Vertinsky's "Evil Spirits," they suit Narcissus more than "Christmas Night," which is too soft and warm. Narcisse Noir is dark, like the night sky, and there's something oppressive about it.

On the windowsill stands an old vase with withered flowers, surrounded by dust and desolation. All this prolonged monochrome reflects my impression of the fragrance. Hopes and expectations, it seems, remained only pale traces on the walls. There's nothing mystical here. If there's still life in Norma Desmond, there's none at all in Miss Havisham.

I love this fragrance, but I haven't met a single woman for whom it would be a perfect fit. Perhaps there's too much life around me ))) That's why I prefer to enjoy it myself, closing my eyes and feeling the presence of this almost intangible companion
