Fragrance information:

Aqua De Oud Chris Adams arrived in 2018 — and it was immediately clear this one was here to stay. A masculine fragrance from the east and floral families. The fragrance belongs to the wood, fruit, and citrus groups. The palette of this fragrance is exceptionally rich: traces of balsamic can also be found — a rare combination that makes this perfume truly one of a kind. A fragrance from the Classic collection, in eau de parfum.

The sillage is moderate — present, but never overpowering. For skin application, 1-2 sprays is the sweet spot. Every application feels like a little ritual — longevity is low. Brand country — France, with its deep-rooted relationship with the fragrance industry. A rich, layered composition that reveals itself differently depending on your mood and the time of day.

Key fragrance characteristics

Perfume information

Description of the composition

The composition of Aqua De Oud unfolds as a cohesive olfactory arc, where notes flow with precision and warmth. The signature of Chris Adams comes through from the opening to the final trail. No excess details, only what works, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail. Eau de parfum keeps the depth and body this composition needs.

In the first seconds you catch sweet-fresh fruity top notes: Bergamot, Blackcurrant, Cinnamon and Ginger.

In the central layer you detect Clove, Jasmine, Lily of the Valley, Orchid, Rose and Tuberose holding a creamy tuberose direction.

The olfactory framework rests on these accords: Balsamic, Citrus, Gourmet and Floral forming a compact and readable structure. Background accords such as Fruit, Musc, Wood and Amber expand the olfactory volume in the background. The gender direction is masculine, which clarifies the composition character. In longevity terms Low indicates a stable lasting impression.

At olfactory-group level the composition is built around Balsamic, Citrus, Fruit and Wood. It also reaches into Spicy, Floral, Whiteflower and Green.

In summary Aqua De Oud holds a coherent structure — the opening sets direction, the middle layer carries the identity, while the drydown anchors the memory.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

The fragrance truly impresses with its depth and nobility. It reminds me of those times when perfumery was an art. It combines woody and coniferous notes, as well as spices, creating a feeling of coolness and warmth simultaneously. This isn't just a scent, but a whole story that unfolds with each new accord )

What the hell! The scent is not bad, but weird. For enthusiasts. I couldn't decide myself. The beginning is explosive, I thought for a long time what the hell it is. Reminds of cloying, like lemonade. Remember those popping candies? Something like that. Top notes - overripe peaches with currant leaves and bergamot with plums. I don't hear the rest. Then a floral mess with character, the lightness of rose is not felt. Base - sandalwood and cedar. Incense adds a twist, noticeable at first, then fades. Not suitable for a 16-year-old guy. Not for everyone, I liked it, but better to test. If you like blind experiments - go for it, you won't regret!
