Coquillete Sulmona: Identity and History

The fragrance Coquillete Sulmona, released in 2012, is a luxurious perfume (extract) from the Italian perfume house Coquillete.

This unisex masterpiece was born in the year of the brand's founding, symbolizing a bold beginning and the elegant philosophy of its creators.

The history of Coquillete began in 2012 thanks to two outstanding women perfumers: the Frenchwoman Elise Juarros and the Italian Rosa Vaia.

Their union, combining French refinement and Italian passion, laid the foundation of the brand, and Sulmona became one of the first fragrances to embody this unique cross-cultural aesthetic.

Positioning and Wearability

Coquillete Sulmona is classified as a unisex fragrance, belonging to the oriental and gourmand families.

It is suitable for both women and men, offering a warm, sweetish, and sensual aura, ideal for cool evenings, romantic dates, or special events.

Due to the high concentration of extract, the fragrance has an intense character and excellent longevity, making it a choice for those who value a memorable and long-lasting presence.

The composition is based on notes from the gourmand, spicy, and sweet groups, creating a multifaceted and seductive bouquet.

As an extract, it is recommended for moderate application to reveal all facets without overloading, allowing enjoyment of the smooth development from top to base.

Authors and Influence

The creative duo Elise Juarros and Rosa Vaia brought their expertise and innovative approach to Sulmona.

Their collaboration reflects the philosophy of the Coquillete brand, where female leadership and cultural exchange give birth to exceptional perfumery creations.

This fragrance has strengthened the house's reputation as an innovator, boldly experimenting with oriental and gourmand motifs, offering modern interpretations that resonate with a wide audience.

Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Coquillete Sulmona begins with top notes: almond, Madagascar vanilla and sugar, which provide a sweet and appetizing opening, immediately captivating attention.

In the heart of the fragrance, delicate orange blossom (fleur d'orange) unfolds, bringing floral freshness and elegance, which softens the initial sweetness and adds depth.

The base is founded on Bourbon vanilla and recurring orange blossom, creating a warm, long-lasting, and cozy finish with a vanilla trail.

This smooth unfolding from a gourmet start to an oriental base makes the composition dynamic, multifaceted, and incredibly appealing for lovers of rich fragrances.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The scent is simply amazing! Almond in sugar with vanilla is a real find. It's not too sweet, but has a light woody note, like sandalwood. Very cozy and warm scent that brings comfort )

Picked up the last bits at the store, couldn't resist. The scent is truly multifaceted. It reveals something new every day. Today it's bitter almond, tobacco vanilla, and amaretto. I guess I should write a separate post about this fragrance

It's not time yet, too early. The weather in Moscow doesn't suit this fragrance at all. To truly enjoy the warming almond, you need wind, rain, and at least +10. Today even lemonade notes appeared on the skin, which wasn't the case, say, in autumn 🍋

What a stunning scent of bitter almond! It hits you right away. Then, on the skin, you get orange blossom and sweet vanilla. The longevity is just excellent, the sillage isn't too strong, but those around you will definitely smell it

Delightful scent! You can feel the sweetness of almond cookies and a light note of melted milk, as well as something reminiscent of candy. Perhaps there is orange blossom, but I think it's more like creamy tuberose sprinkled with sugar. It is truly unique and attractive!
