Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Idylle / L'Idylle evolves as a layered story, where notes flow without rush and without gaps. The creative approach of Coty is recognizable in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. Every decision feels deliberate, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail. Perfume extract supports a balanced rhythm of unfolding.

The stylistic positioning is feminine, which clarifies the composition character.

When the structure is mixed the opening appears as one connected movement with a fantasy multi-layered mood: No information on composition. In this case 1 note sounds as one integrated frame, creating futuristic atmosphere that feels seamless.

The heart and base are read as a gradual shift without abrupt breaks, which gives the structure continuity.

At olfactory-group level the composition is built around Fairy, Floral and Whiteflower. At family level the fragrance belongs to Floral.

Taken together Idylle / L'Idylle sounds complete from start to finish — the start forms character, the central phase adds depth, while the drydown anchors the memory. These are the fragrances best judged through real development.

The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Very conspicuous

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

This perfume appeared on the market back in 1912! Mentions of it can be found in literature of that time, which was also published in 1912. Back then, handkerchiefs were soaked with it, not used for oneself!!!
