Description of the composition

The olfactory structure of Scotchouli unfolds as a living composition, where notes flow smoothly and sequentially. The signature of Daniel Barros comes through in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. Every decision feels deliberate, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail.

The internal accord map is shaped by these accords: Balsamic, Aromatic, Citrus and Gourmet forming a compact and readable structure. Secondary accord layers such as Floral, Wood, Spicy and Alcoholic expand the olfactory volume in the background. The profile is unisex, which makes the scent profile easier to read.

Right at the start you catch spicy-green first notes: Bergamot, Mint, Sage and Thyme.

In the central layer you detect Geranium, Lavender, Patchouli and Tobacco carrying a spicy-woody direction.

At olfactory-group level the structure relies on Citrus, Aromatic, Drinks and Floral. The palette also extends to Green, Wood, Sweet and Balsamic. Within olfactory families the scent maps to East and Wood.

Overall Scotchouli reads as a cohesive composition — the first stage creates momentum, the heart develops the core line, and the base secures the trail. This is the type of composition best understood through real development.
