Witch Edgardio Chilini, that first saw the light of day in 2016, is officially considered a unisex fragrance, rooted in the aromatic family. This fragrance is the personal signature of perfumer Sergey Karov. Created as part of the Chilini Private collection. Offered in perfume extract concentration.
Expect a moderate sillage — enough to be remembered, not enough to overwhelm. It settles in and stays — the longevity is genuinely high. I once had a sample of Epic by Amouage, and although "Witch" isn't an exact copy, the kinship between them is obvious. I admit, it's hard for me to distinguish individual notes, as tobacco and patchouli here sound so powerful that it's almost impossible to catch anything else. I had a version of Epic where forest notes predominated, and perhaps it depends on perception or batch, but some say it's "about rose." My sample was "about forest, spices, and mystery."
"Witch" has some similar features, but Amouage sounds louder, more lasting, and with a more pronounced sillage. "Witch," on the other hand, is a quieter, less lasting, and tobacco-patchouli version. An association came to me: a witch applied Epic, then decided to add patchouli essential oil, applying it to her wrists already soaked in Epic. Then she sat in the kitchen and lit up a cigarette. Perhaps it was pipe tobacco - I don't know what it smells like, but I can guess.
So, the Amouage-patchouli witch smokes a pipe, contemplates life, and decides to pour herself something strong. This association came to mind when, closer to the base, the scent started to resemble something alcoholic. It's atmospheric in its own way, but I don't plan to buy it again. I'll prefer Epic - it's more lasting and has a better sillage. And "Witch" might suit those looking for a "drier" version of Epic and find it too heavy or suffocating
