History and Identity

Elisire Poudre Désir is more than just a perfume; it is a declaration of love for powdery sensuality.

Launched in 2015 by the young yet already daring brand Elisire, it immediately established itself as a niche treasure.

Its Perfume Extract concentration provides richness and longevity, while its very strong sillage makes it an ideal choice for evening occasions.

This feminine fragrance, positioned as for Women, belongs to the Floral family and skillfully combines citrus freshness with floral depth.

Creators and Inspiration

Two masters stand behind this masterpiece: the legendary Alberto Morillas and the talented Franck Salzwedel.

Their collaboration gave the world a composition in which powdery iris meets juicy citrus fruits.

Poudre Désir is an ode to gentle yet confident femininity, where every accord resonates like a note in a symphony of seduction. The brand's official website: ixoraparfum.com.

How to Wear It and What to Pair It With

Thanks to its extrait concentration, this fragrance should be applied with care: one or two sprays on pulse points are enough to envelop you in a cloud of sophistication.

It is ideal for cool evenings when you crave comfort and luxury.

If you are looking for something with a similar mood, consider Lacoste Pour Femme Légère, Nina Ricci L'Air du Temps, or Salvador Dali Sunrise in Cadaques—each interprets the theme of floral softness in its own way.

Description of the composition

The composition of Poudre Désir opens with the sparkling freshness of bergamot, mandarin, and spicy pink pepper.

At its heart, a bouquet of gardenia, iris, jasmine, and grandiflorum jasmine blooms, creating a powdery floral accord. The base envelops with the warmth of cedar, the sweetness of heliotrope, and sensual musk.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

Poudre Désir is a fresh take on a classic theme with aldehydes and iris. Comparisons to Chanel No.19 and its "powdery" interpretation are, of course, inevitable. But Alberto Morillas created a lighter and more transparent version, with a soft citrus and aldehydic opening, and an exquisite iris that sounds very delicate 🌸
