The Splendida collection from Bvlgari, launched in 2017, became a real hit for the brand. Initially, it included three fragrances: Iris D’Or, Rose Rose, and Jasmin Noir, all created by Sophie Labbé. Each year, the line was replenished with new compositions: in 2018, Magnolia Sensuel by Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud appeared, in 2019 - Tubereuse Mystique, and in 2020 - Patchouli Tentation. The names of the fragrances immediately make it clear that each composition focuses on a single note, be it iris, rose, magnolia, jasmine, or patchouli. These fragrances are masterfully assembled, and each note reveals its best side. The bottles also deserve attention - they are designed in the style of a jewelry house. Patchouli Tentation is not just a fragrance, but a true story. Patchouli plays the main role here, like a large precious stone that is comfortable to wear every day. Sophie Labbé managed to make this note bright and self-sufficient, yet comfortable. At the beginning of the composition, a fruity accord and the sweetness of peach are felt. This technique is reminiscent of a fragrance from Bottega Veneta, which also used a fruity-chypre opening. The sweetness here emphasizes the gourmand notes of patchouli, where echoes of dark chocolate and cocoa can be heard. A woody tone subtly complements the overall picture. Patchouli is recognizable but doesn't monopolize all attention, which can often be tiring. This is achieved thanks to a well-developed musky base, which gives the fragrance a well-groomed and luxurious look. If you appreciate the true aesthetic of luxury and love patchouli, then here you will definitely find the perfect combination ✨

To the fragrance: Byredo Open Sky

Fans of the Swedish brand Byredo probably remember how a fake fragrance “Byredo Marijuana” with an image of a serrated leaf circulated online. The liquid in the bottle was green, clearly hinting at something eccentric and forbidden. On some websites, this fragrance can still be found for sale. If any brand enthusiasts regretted that it was just a fake, now they have reason to rejoice - Byredo recently released a limited-edition fragrance, Open Sky, in which, according to the press release, marijuana plays the main role.

Creative Director Ben Gorham, in creating this fragrance, wanted to reflect our travel experiences filled with anticipation - it's like a spiritual exploration of the emptiness between the starting point and the destination. Open Sky is an aromatic construction built on green notes that slowly transition from cold and refreshing to warm nuances. It's a small olfactory journey from invigoration to relaxation. It begins with bright and moist greenery, where the scent of crushed grass with the juice of stems and leaves is felt. If you listen closely, you can catch the aromas of tomato leaves; this vegetal exuberance intertwines with citrus notes that prevent the fragrance from becoming too sharp.

As Open Sky develops, smoky, sun-dried vetiver notes become more prominent. The forbidden smoke is slowly consumed, and the transition from bright herbaceous accords to a stately vetiver block occurs very smoothly. The journey concludes with the soft woody sweetness of palo santo. It's worth noting that Byredo's recent launches show a significant improvement in longevity and diffusion. The Open Sky fragrance, released after the much-talked-about Mixed Emotions, maintains this high standard, and the volatile green opening note is enhanced by more substantial accords of vetiver and palo santo. Summer is the perfect time for a fragrance with such a character

To the fragrance: Rochas Girl

In 2021, Rochas introduced a new fragrance, Girl, which, it seemed, was supposed to become a symbol of ecological responsibility. But despite the emphasis on ecology and conscious consumption, I feel like something genuine is missing. Orange blossom, which is so popular now, failed to evoke any emotions in me. Orange blossom is certainly present, but it doesn't leave a vivid impression. The fragrance reminds me of sweet candies that have already lost their freshness, and their crumpled wrapper in my pocket only evokes nostalgia. Musky-jasmine notes, familiar from cosmetics, don't add depth. As a result, the fragrance creates a feeling of lightness, but it's too superficial, as if something is missing 😔

In Serge Lutens' extensive collection of fragrances, vanilla was also found. Christopher Sheldrake, in creating this perfume, managed to combine delicate woody notes of sandalwood with coconut milk, sweet licorice candies, and benzoin, adding almond to this. As a result, this vanilla forest became a reality. But, honestly, I expected more. It somehow lacks depth, or something. It seems like everything is there, but there's no feeling!!

Ambrée is simply a discovery! It immediately delights with its floral heart, which opens with such boldness that it leaves no perfume lover indifferent. This fragrance is truly the most intense in the entire line. Ylang-ylang in the top notes creates such a deep and full atmosphere, spiced with the sweetness of vanilla, but not overloaded 🌸 The combination of tropical flowers and a musky accent transports us to the beach, creating a vacation feeling, although, in reality, it's more like a warm memory for winter days. The fragrance has incredible richness and sillage, which makes it truly memorable. As the floral wave begins to subside, a light lactonic tone emerges with notes of creams and powder, reminiscent of Narciso Poudrée. If you like bright floral fragrances like Gucci Bloom or Euphoria by Calvin Klein, then Narciso Ambrée will definitely become your new favorite! 🌺

To the fragrance: Yves Saint Laurent Libre

Libre by Yves Saint Laurent is a true celebration for the soul! 🌟 This fragrance is created for women who bravely go through life and aren't afraid to be themselves. It combines audacity and elegance, showing that independence is beautiful. In a bottle that looks strict and stylish, something amazing is hidden. The fragrance is filled with the freshness of lavender, which perfectly harmonizes with bright fruity notes and the lightness of orange blossom. It's like a gentle breeze on a hot day! 🍃 Every detail here is thought out, and the play of contrasts is simply mesmerizing. Libre is not just a perfume, it's a feeling of freedom and joy! 🎉

If you look at Black Opium Eau de Parfum Intense and compare it to previous versions, it becomes obvious that this is the most intense variant. Here, coffee sounds very bright and long-lasting, you can't mistake it for anything else. Let's set aside all these advertising tricks about absinthe and its mysterious character. In reality, we are dealing with a pleasant, slightly spicy liqueur, in which vanilla adds its own note. In addition to this, a light hint of licorice and restrained jasmine create an interesting contrast against the powerful coffee aroma. The fragrance pleases with its density; there are no voids or sharp transitions, which creates a feeling of comfort and harmony
