I picked up my order today. The scent is just awful, such heavy amber that it's impossible to breathe. The longevity is there, of course, but that doesn't save it. I don't know how I'll combine it with others, but so far it's not impressive 😒

Learning that ambergris is a secretion from a sperm whale made me look at this component differently. Before, I thought amber scents were always sweet and resinous. Now, completely different images come to mind. But if we're talking about specific amber, it's still sweetness with woody notes that seem polished. Overall, quite an intriguing scent
