Royal Select by Giorgio Monti — a royal choice for true connoisseurs

In 2010, the perfume house Giorgio Monti introduced a fragrance that instantly won hearts — Royal Select.

This eau de parfum, created for women, naturally belongs to three main fragrance families: floral, fruity, and sweet. But how was this masterpiece born?

Giorgio Monti is a bold player at the intersection of high art and contemporary trends. Born in the heart of France in 2000, it established itself as a daring experimenter from day one.

Royal Select became one of the jewels of the collection, where every note tells a little story.

The fragrance is perfect for everyday wear: its moderate sillage lends a feeling of luxury without overwhelming those around you.

It is a compliment-getting and recognizable choice for women who value elegance and individuality.

If you already know Royal Select and are looking for something similar, take a look at Laura Biagiotti Laura, Avon Far Away Gold, and Dior Joy Eau de Parfum Intense.

These fragrances share a similar gourmand and floral DNA with Royal Select.

And for those just discovering the world of Giorgio Monti perfumery, begin your journey with this royal accord.

Description of the composition

Royal Select Olfactory Pyramid: From Green Freshness to Sweet Indulgence

The fragrance unfolds gradually, like a royal ceremony. The top notes—green accord, lychee, and rosewood—offer a refreshing opening with spicy and juicy nuances.

At the heart, rose, freesia, orange blossom, and peach bloom, while sweet dark chocolate adds a gourmand touch.

The base—jasmine, praline, sandalwood, and vanilla—leaves a velvety, sensual trail.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

The fragrance is truly impressive, but its price is just off the charts. It's like a dark rose, enveloped in bitter chocolate and sweet lychee, but mostly you feel the bitterness. Bright and rich, its sillage is amazing, and its longevity is top-notch! But its rarity and high cost are definitely drawbacks 😕
