Identity and Release History

Dive into the world of Gustave Eiffel with the fragrance Rose de Paris, released in 2016.

This unisex perfume, presented as perfume water, embodies French heritage and aromatic architecture.

The perfume house Gustave Eiffel, founded by the descendant of the legendary engineer Gustave Eiffel, Philippe Coupery-Eiffel, continues great traditions by creating compositions that, like buildings, stand on a solid foundation of quality ingredients and creative inspiration.

Rose de Paris is an ode to beauty and elegance, inspired by the capital of France and its famous roses.

The fragrance is perfect for those who appreciate refinement and want to feel the spirit of Paris in every movement.

Since its release, it has won the hearts of perfume connoisseurs worldwide, becoming a symbol of refined style and timeless elegance.

Positioning and Wearability

As a unisex fragrance, Rose de Paris is suitable for both men and women, offering a medium trail that gently surrounds you without overwhelming others.

For optimal effect, we recommend applying 2 to 3 sprays on the skin and 1 to 2 sprays on clothing – this ensures a lasting and harmonious presence throughout the day or evening.

If you liked Rose de Paris, you might appreciate other fragrances: Hugo Boss Boss Ma Vie Pour Femme, Givenchy Jardin Precieux, and Van Cleef & Arpels First Edition Or.

These compositions also combine floral and fruity notes, creating a romantic and fresh mood, ideal for daily wear and special occasions.

Authors and Influence

Behind the creation of Rose de Paris is the talented perfumer Sidonie Lancesseur, whose experience and sensitivity brought this exquisite composition to life.

Her work perfectly reflects the DNA of the Gustave Eiffel brand, which strives for innovation and aesthetic perfection, similar to the architectural masterpieces of its founder, combining traditions with a modern approach.

The fragrance Rose de Paris has strengthened the reputation of Gustave Eiffel as a house capable of creating perfumes that remain relevant over the years, drawing attention to the brand through elegance and quality.

Description of the composition

Composition of the Fragrance

The pyramid of notes in Rose de Paris begins with a refreshing start: black currant leaf and freesia create a bright and juicy accord that immediately captures attention, reminiscent of the first spring days in Paris.

At the heart of the fragrance, delicate jasmine, sweet peach, and romantic rose unfold, forming a floral-fruity harmony full of warmth, sensuality, and a touch of playfulness, which slowly evolves on the skin.

The base of the composition is built on long-lasting notes: moss, musk (white musk), and woody accord provide depth and longevity, leaving a soft and memorable trail on the skin that smoothly transitions from floral freshness to earthy and woody nuances.

This multi-layered structure belongs to the floral and fruity families, and also includes groups of floral, fruity, musky, white floral, and woody notes, making the fragrance complex, intriguing, and perfectly balanced for any season.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

A fragrance that can be described as “about rose” actually evokes mixed feelings. First, you feel cold white freesia and fresh blackcurrant leaves, but then a dense rosebud appears, which seemingly should delight, but in reality only causes boredom. The delicate rose that unfolds seems too simple, and jasmine and sweet peach only add to the cloyingness. In all this, there's a slight hint of hand cream with rose oil, which, frankly, causes confusion. Closer to the base, some mossiness appears, but it doesn't save the situation. The sillage with quiet musk reminds of white sheets in an expensive hotel, but not in the best sense. This is not a revelation, but rather a banality that might appeal only to those who aren't looking for anything special. For rose lovers, perhaps it will suit, but I think the fragrance is too ordinary and unexpressive

The scent of fresh roses, as if just picked, with light drops of dew, surrounded by jasmine. There's a slight bitterness from freesia and the soft sweetness of peach juice. Cedar and moss give this fragrance a chypre character 🌹

a sweet floral-fruity scent, but it's not luxurious at all. The peaches here are beautiful, of course, but that doesn't save the situation. The fragrance isn't versatile; rather, it's only suitable for certain occasions and ages. The longevity leaves much to be desired - only four hours, and that's it. A complete disappointment

What a delicate and beautiful fragrance! Although it's not entirely my style, I feel it lacks a bit of brightness. Overall, it's really pleasant, with velvety peach notes, a light morning rose, and airy powder

The scent I felt reminds me of a spring day in Paris, but with a slight touch of mystery. The rose, slightly powdery, seems to envelop you in its delicate cloud, yet at the same time leaves a feeling of ambiguity. Oakmoss, it seems, isn't very noticeable, and perhaps that's even good. Chypre notes, to be honest, aren't felt at all. I wonder if I like it or not 🤔
