Fragrance information:

The world first encountered Elixir de Muguet by Isabel Derroisné / ID Parfums in 2013. By character, a feminine fragrance drawing from the citrus and floral families. Conceived and brought to life by perfumer Philippe Bousseton. Elixir de Muguet — a proud member of the Elixir collection. Concentration — eau de parfum: exactly what it needs to be.

The sillage is delicate — an intimate cloud that stays close to the skin. It's a light presence — longevity is low, perfect for those who love something airy. The home of this fragrance is France. Elixir de Muguet Isabel Derroisné / ID Parfums unfolds gradually, effortlessly, and with great refinement — a perfect choice for day or evening.

Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Elixir de Muguet evolves as a living composition, where accents shift with precision and warmth. The style of Isabel Derroisné / ID Parfums is clear in details that define the fragrance identity. No excess details, only what works, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail. Eau de parfum keeps the right density and pace of development.

In the first seconds you detect invigorating sunny opening notes: Bergamot and Grapefruit. Exactly these 2 notes set a sensation of cool purity that is impossible to miss.

When the opening settles you sense Lily of the Valley carrying a creamy tuberose direction.

The accord profile is driven by these accords: Citrus, Floral and Musc with each one in a clear role. The stylistic positioning is feminine, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived. For persistence Low points to a sustained drydown presence.

At olfactory-group level the profile is anchored in Citrus, Whiteflower, Musk and Floral. At family level the composition sits in Citrus and Floral.

Taken together Elixir de Muguet reads as a cohesive composition — the start forms character, the middle layer carries the identity, and the base secures the trail. These are the fragrances best understood through real development.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

First, you get a strong musk that gives the scent a soapy nuance. Lily of the valley is also abundant here, and that only amplifies the soapy effect

Lily of the valley doesn't impress me, to be honest. From an aroma perspective, I can't say it really grabbed me. Overall, the scent is not bad, fresh, reminds me of spring. It's like a bouquet of white flowers, translucent and light. Ylang-ylang is also noticeable, but for me, it's more like greenery, not a blended sweetness like this flower has. I think those who like such scents might enjoy it, but I was left without emotions ))))

Lily of the valley in perfumery has always been something special for me. Dior is the benchmark, and of course, I constantly compare it to Diorissimo. But here, the lily of the valley smells different. At first, you get those same white flowers, fresh and natural. However, as the scent opens up, a sweetness appears, creamy and a little unexpected, which adds interest. But the longevity, alas, is disappointing - it's just too short. Otherwise, the fragrance is truly beautiful, it's like a spring day, full of youth and hope
