Description of the composition

The scent of Othello unfolds as an expressive line of development, where notes flow smoothly and sequentially. The signature of Ikiryo comes through in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. No excess details, only what works, and the composition keeps a clear direction.

At the note-group layer the composition is built around Ambery, Floral, Spicy and Wood. The palette also extends to Fruit. At family level the scent maps to Spicy and Wood.

In a unified mixed pyramid the notes arrive together with a soft-dry woody mood: Ambergris, Black Orchid, Black Pepper, Oud, Sloe and Spruce. Here 6 notes act as one coherent layer, creating a sense of noble depth that reads as cohesive from the start.

The deeper layers are felt as a smooth transition from opening to trail, which keeps the fragrance coherent.

The accord architecture is shaped by these accords: Floral, Wood, Amber and Spicy forming a compact and readable structure. The stylistic positioning is masculine, which makes the scent profile easier to read.

Overall Othello holds a coherent structure — the start forms character, the heart develops the core line, and the base secures the trail. These are the fragrances best experienced in wear.
