Initio Parfums Prives Rehab: Aromatic Therapy for the Bold

Released in 2018, Initio Parfums Prives Rehab quickly became a cult favorite in the niche perfumery world, embodying the philosophy of a new beginning.

This eau de parfum announces itself from the first notes as a bold and multifaceted unisex fragrance, inviting a journey from invigorating freshness to deep sensuality.

The young, yet already legendary brand, founded by Nadia Benemar, through the name 'Initio' (from Latin 'beginning') reflects a pursuit of innovation, and Rehab is a vivid confirmation of that, blending classic notes with a modern approach.

Character and Wearability: Strength in Moderation

Rehab is positioned as a unisex fragrance, ideally suited for self-confident people who value the balance between audacity and elegance.

Its medium sillage leaves a subtle but memorable trace, making it appropriate for both evening outings and special daytime moments.

For optimal development, it is recommended to enter the cloud when applying to the skin, which allows one to feel the full depth of the composition, and on clothing — from 1 to 2 sprays for a more lasting effect.

The fragrance particularly benefits in cool seasons, highlighting its oriental-aromatic nature and providing a sense of comfort and mystery.

Connections and Alternatives: A World of Rich Fragrances

Rehab is part of the rich heritage of Initio Parfums Prives, enhancing the brand's reputation as a creator of bold niche perfumes.

If you appreciated this fragrance, it's worth noting similar options: Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille with its tobacco-vanilla warmth, Bvlgari Bvlgari Man In Black for lovers of spicy chords, and Xerjoff Naxos with honey-tobacco sophistication.

These fragrances share a love for complex compositions and can be worthy additions to a collection. For more detailed information about the brand and its philosophy, visit the official website.

Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Rehab begins with an invigorating duet of bergamot and spicy black pepper, creating an energetic start that gradually softens in the heart thanks to sweet coumarin, soothing lavender, and smoky tobacco.

In the base, the fragrance unfolds with warm and deep notes: sensual amber, woody cedar, guaiac wood, patchouli, sandalwood, and vetiver harmoniously intertwine with tender vanilla and soft musk, creating a long and cozy finish.

This complex composition belongs to the aromatic and oriental families, combining elements from groups of ambery, citrus, gourmand, green, musky, spicy, sweet, and woody notes.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

What an amazing unisex scent this is! A cool fougère with green notes and woody tartness, and lavender adds a light freshness. This fragrance is truly relaxing, and its name suits it so well. So glad I got to know it 😍

I read somewhere that this fragrance only uses natural ingredients. The question is debatable, of course, but for such a price, maybe the quality of the raw materials really is top-notch. In my opinion, the notes of lavender, tobacco, and vanilla here are almost competing for attention. It smells very soft and pleasant, like it's enveloping you

This fragrance, marketed as unisex, honestly just causes confusion. Yeah, lavender and tobacco notes are listed in the pyramid, but that doesn't make it appealing. I don't see how women could wear it, even with coumarin and tonka beans in there. The notes just blend into some kind of mush, and it's impossible to tell what you're actually smelling. It's simply unbearable. And by the way, you need to be super careful with the dosage, otherwise you'll get an unbearable assault on your brain 😩

Rehab just doesn't fit the overall vibe at all. Maybe the whole white line is like this? You expect something cool, rich from the brand, but they seem to be just playing on their recognition. This musky fougère is pleasant, sure, but it's kinda too light, just a tiny bit of spice, and that's it. Soft, like a second skin, but I'm not into it. I prefer something completely different from this brand

Oh, how I loved this scent! At first, I thought it would be more for men because of the lavender, but that's really not the case at all! The lavender is only noticeable at the beginning, and then it becomes so sweet, syrupy, with notes of vanilla and tobacco, and the cherry pit really stands out. In my opinion, it slightly resembles Tobacco Vanille

Initially I wasn't sure about this fragrance, but after it sat for a bit, I decided to test it on myself. My wife also tried it, and here's what I can say: it's a totally different level! The scent is soft, with notes of tobacco and vanilla, as well as amber and musk. It's rich and long-lasting, so pleasant to wear! Its sillage is moderate, which is also a plus. Seriously, it suits both men and women! 🌟

Honestly, the fragrance didn't impress me. At first, it seems like lavender with citrus and mint is something interesting, but then it all turns into a messy jumble. The woody notes, which were supposed to add depth, just overpower everything else. And by the end, this smoky aftertaste appears, which just causes irritation. Musk? Yeah, it's totally out of place here, powdery and unbearable. Overall, the fragrance is complex, but not in a good way. The brand, of course, might have its philosophy, but that doesn't save the situation

A strange scent, to be honest. On one hand, it's warm, but not in a burning way. The musky note clearly dominates, and it creates a feeling of caramel sweetness, like you're in some kind of milkshake. But then there's this dustiness of vetiver. it adds mystery, and at the same time, it's calming. I can't figure out if I like it or not. Overall, it's something interesting, but also a little strange

The scent is sweet-oriental, with woody notes and an abundance of amber, combined with patchouli. Vanilla and tobacco are also present, but not too intrusive. It's not entirely my style, but I decided to try it anyway, because curiosity got the better of me. The bottle is white, and I expected the scent itself to be fresher. I checked the notes after testing. The longevity is simply amazing 💪

Initio (Initio) ~ Rehab is a fragrance that can be described as a smoky-sweet aphrodisiac with notes of vanilla and patchouli. In its oriental composition, tobacco and lavender give it a special depth. I would characterize it as a woody-fougere, it's like it was made for winter holidays. I've been wearing it for three days now, and I constantly get a feeling of déjà vu - it reminds me of something familiar, but I can't quite remember what exactly. The scent is truly amazing, and it awakens memories of my youth! I remembered that I still have an empty bottle of Million perfume by Christophe Raynaud, which I received as a birthday gift in 2009. The smell is almost identical

At first it seemed too masculine and even harsh, but I'm glad I didn't give away the decant. Now, after it settled a bit, I wear it as an evening fragrance. It became soft and rich, with creamy-sweet notes, lavender is noticeable, but not as strong anymore. The only thing that bothers me a bit is the bitterness, but if you don't overdo the amount, everything in it is just right 😊

Returned after a year. It draws you in. Quiet on skin, but sillage is felt. Tobacco with vanilla thin, like mousse, sexy

The tobacco-vanilla scent is really bright and rich, with a full-bodied aroma. Woody notes and an amber hue give it a special depth. Although it's unisex, in my opinion, it truly shines best on a man. It's just incredible! ))

The scent, in my opinion, is more masculine, but it could suit ladies too! On my skin, it opens up with sandalwood and spices, but there's very little vanilla. I can't say this is Initio's best perfume! Though I definitely like the scents when they're on women!

I read the reviews and decided to order a sample, glad I managed to find it. Honestly, the scent turned out to be quite harsh, more like a men's fragrance. Lavender with tobacco and some strange, rubbery woody note, all wrapped in a stuffy, powdery sweetness. Overall, it just didn't work for me at all 😕
