Description of the composition

The composition of Yang is built as an expressive line of development, where layers reveal themselves smoothly and sequentially. The style of Jacques Fath is clear in the way notes appear and fade. Nothing here feels random, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Eau de toilette sets a balanced rhythm of unfolding.

At olfactory-group level the profile is anchored in Citrus, Drinks, Spicy and Wood. The framework further includes Floral and Musk. From a family perspective the composition sits in Fern and Wood.

From the first breath you catch invigorating sunny top notes: Grapefruit, Green Tea and Mandarin.

When the opening settles you detect Cardamom, Vetiver and Violet keeping a spicy-aromatic direction.

The olfactory framework is built around these accords: Citrus, Floral, Musc and Wood forming a compact and readable structure. Secondary accord layers such as Spicy expand the olfactory volume in the background. The profile is masculine, which clarifies the composition character. For persistence Very high indicates a stable lasting impression.

Taken together Yang holds a coherent structure — the first stage creates momentum, the central phase adds depth, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint. These are the scent structures best understood in wear.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.
Sillage
Very conspicuous

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

I once smelled it on an acquaintance, and it was just awful. A scent that seemed like it should attract, actually only repelled. No freshness, just some heaviness and woody notes that grated on the brain. Tea nuances? Yes, but they were so out of place that they only caused bewilderment. A smell that, ideally, should have been memorable, actually only made me want to run away. Everyone who smelled it probably just politely kept quiet. And yes, it's a shame it was discontinued, but maybe that's for the best. I only heard something similar in Silver Chypre by Lalique, but even there it wasn't without disappointment

The fragrance evokes a lot of conflicting emotions. The floral notes just weigh me down, and the tea with cardamom is barely audible somewhere in the background. At first, I thought it was a purely feminine option. But there's something strange about it. Freshness and sweetness, but I don't understand where to wear it. It seems to relax, but at the same time it's too heavy. It hardly changes in its development, which only adds to the disappointment 😒

This fragrance has a tea note. Well, I don't know what surprised you about it. Does it remind you of Creed's SMW? Maybe some people find that interesting, but I think it's just another attempt to stand out. I can't say it's anything special. Overall, I expected more and only got disappointment
