Identity and Release History

Imagine a fragrance that from the very first encounter transports you to the world of French elegance — Jeanne Arthes Cassandra, released in 2006.

This feminine perfume from the Cassandra collection by the brand Jeanne Arthes has become a true hit among fans of affordable luxury perfumery, offering quality and style without compromise.

The brand Jeanne Arthes, founded in 1978 by Bernard Perrin, embodies the French magic of affordable perfumery, where every bottle is a story of beauty and accessibility.

Cassandra fits perfectly into this philosophy, giving a sense of luxury to every woman.

Positioning and Wearability

Cassandra is classified as a feminine fragrance in the form of eau de toilette, making it ideal for daily use — from office meetings to romantic dates.

Its belonging to the aldehyde and oriental fragrance families gives it a multifaceted character: aldehyde freshness at the top and oriental warmth in the base create a universal charm for any season.

Although specific data on sillage and dosage is not provided, as a perfume expert, I recommend applying 2-3 sprays on the skin or clothing for optimal development — this is enough to emphasize your individuality without overdoing it.

The fragrance is known for its compliment factor, often receiving enthusiastic reviews for its recognizability and elegance.

Authors and Influence

Information about specific perfumers for Cassandra is not available, but this release vividly reflects the DNA of the Jeanne Arthes brand, strengthening its reputation as a creator of affordable and stylish fragrances.

The release in 2006 coincided with the growth in popularity of the brand, making Cassandra one of the key elements in the lineup that still inspires new fans.

For those seeking similar impressions, it's worth paying attention to fragrances such as Chanel No.5 with its classic aldehyde structure, Dior J'adore L'Absolu for its femininity and richness, or Swiss Arabian Zahra for oriental notes.

Each of them offers a unique perspective on elegance, complementing Cassandra's palette.

Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Jeanne Arthes Cassandra begins with a sparkling start, where aldehydes and a fruity note create a light and fresh atmosphere, like the first breath of spring.

In the heart of the composition, a sensual duo of rose and ylang-ylang unfolds, adding floral tenderness and exotic depth that smoothly transition into the base chords.

The fragrance is completed with warm and persistent notes of a woody chord and musk, creating a cozy and long-lasting echo on the skin.

This layered evolution makes Cassandra perfect for those who value the balance between the vibrancy of the opening and the sensuality of the dry-down, offering a journey from freshness to warmth with every spray.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

For me, the fragrance clearly evokes the past; the aldehydes here sound somewhat outdated, like in the classic Chanel No. 5. The floral notes are too intense and heavy. Honestly, I don't even like No. 5, and this perfume didn't appeal to me at all

This fragrance seems fresher, but the aldehydes, on one hand, softened the heavy floral note, and on the other, added a retro touch with a bright, sharp accent

My friends and I just fell in love with this fragrance, it became a real discovery for us. We bought it because everyone said it reminded them of popular floral aldehydes. I'd say it's somewhat related to Chanel No. 5, but only in a general sense. For its price, it's really good

A floral-aldehydic perfume, if you ask me, it's just okay. Not versatile, and definitely not for everyone. The scent is too intrusive, the flowers scream, and the powdery base, though pleasant, doesn't save the situation. Overall, it's for an amateur, and not the best one ))

A scent that didn't impress at first, but over time revealed amazing sweetish and oily notes. Honestly, I can't quite figure out what this combination is, but I like it. Especially considering the price is quite reasonable 😍

Once you get used to this scent, you realize that for 200-500 rubles you get a pretty interesting and self-sufficient smell. Aldehydes in perfumery aren't really my thing, I understand them, but I rarely wear them myself. If you love an almost pure aldehyde sound, then Cassandra might just delight you 🌸

The scent turned out to be quite complex for me. I only perceive aldehydes in Chanel No. 5, and here they are too bright. It turned out to be an explosive mix of soapy aldehydes with rich ylang-ylang. Overall, it's a scent for adults, and it's truly unusual)))
