Description of the composition

The composition of Jeanne Arthes Smiley begins with sparkling top notes of bergamot, black pepper, and orange, creating an invigorating and optimistic start.

In the heart of the fragrance, gourmet accords of cocoa, curaçao, and praline unfold, adding sweetness, depth, and a playful note.

The base of patchouli and musk ensures longevity, a warm trail, and a cozy finish.

This pyramid belongs to the citrus family, but with unique twists in the gourmet and sweet notes groups.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

Honestly, the bottle isn't the most convenient, and it won't suit everyone. But the fragrance... it's definitely for those who love gourmand notes. But the gourmand aspect here is something else, with some mysterious twist to it. Like praline soaked in cognac, but it's not entirely clear if I like it or not

The scent is quite interesting, sweet and alcoholic, reminiscent of a chocolate candy filling with notes of citrus jam. Indeed, it's good, very good even. But the packaging raises some questions. We had a funny incident at home. My husband, seeing the bottle, thought it was a throat spray. Luckily, he decided not to use it right away, and when he caught the familiar scent, he realized it was better to wait

On my dry skin, this perfume, darn, is like a Christmas tree! The citruses in it just explode. It immediately reminds me of New Year's. My husband is in the carpentry workshop, so I run away from him like the devil himself. The scent is really cheerful and New Year's-y!

The scent reminds me of sweet candies with a slight boozy touch. I really love gourmand perfumes, and this one totally hit the mark. The bottle looks interesting, but unfortunately, the longevity wasn't quite satisfying 🍬
