Identity and Release History

In 2008, the perfume house Kenzo presented to the world a sensual interpretation of the iconic fragrance — Kenzo Amour Le Parfum.

This release, launched in 2008, became a more intense and luxurious version, deepening the oriental theme of the original.

The brand, founded by Kenzo Takada as a vibrant bridge between East and West, here embodies its philosophy through perfumery, creating a fragrance that speaks of love without borders.

As perfume (extract), Amour Le Parfum offers increased concentration, making it a choice for those seeking longevity and depth.

The absence of collection data emphasizes its independence, but it is inseparably linked to Kenzo's DNA, where bold combinations and cultural dialogue are always in focus.

Positioning and Wearability

Kenzo Amour Le Parfum is created as a women's fragrance, but its universal oriental soul can captivate bold unisex admirers as well.

With a medium sillage, it leaves behind a refined trail — not intrusive but memorable, perfectly suited for evening outings or special moments.

Thanks to warm amber and vanilla chords, this perfume particularly unfolds in cool seasons — autumn and winter, providing coziness and sensuality.

It can be called an evening companion that adds a touch of luxury and oriental mystery to any look.

Although precise recommendations for dosage on skin and clothing are not specified, for an extract, 1-2 sprays are usually enough to enjoy it for hours.

Authors and Influence

Behind the creation of this masterpiece is the talented Daphne Bugey, a perfumer known for her ability to work with oriental and floral chords.

Her work on Amour Le Parfum strengthened Kenzo's reputation as a brand capable of reimagining classics in richer forms.

The fragrance reflects the brand's boldness, combining traditional oriental elements with modern sophistication, making it an important milestone in the Amour perfume line.

This release emphasizes how Kenzo continues to build bridges between cultures through scents, offering emotional and multifaceted compositions.

Its influence on the brand lies in deepening the oriental theme, attracting fans who appreciate depth and longevity in perfumery.

Description of the composition

The pyramid of Kenzo Amour Le Parfum begins with an intriguing start: incense and rice create a smoky-grainy chord that immediately captures attention, reminiscent of Eastern rituals and coziness.

In the heart of the composition, the tropical tenderness of frangipani unfolds, softened by earthy patchouli, adding floral depth and mystery.

The base of the fragrance is a true Eastern symphony: amber, benzoin, and vanilla intertwine into a warm, sweetish, and resinous finish that warms the skin for a long time and leaves a sensual aftertaste.

Unfolding from a smoky start to a floral heart and warm base, this fragrance perfectly embodies the oriental family with its richness and emotionality.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

My sister kept praising rice porridge, but it's actually just amazing vanilla! Benzoin notes make it so rich, yet not too intrusive. It's so delicate, it really could be a symbol of love in some way 💖

Rice porridge with milk. Not too loud, but quite expressive. Floral notes are present, but they are not standard, rather in an oriental style. It's like a composition of two elements, self-contained. It won't become a part of your soul or evoke a storm of emotions. However, it leaves an unusual impression, remembered for a long time. I wouldn't choose it for a date, but for a walk around the city or a cafe for cinnamon buns - it's quite suitable. I'm glad I had it. The bottle looks like a work of architecture, although by modern standards it seems strange due to its weight and used materials

This fragrance is simply suffocating and gloomy. If this is love, it's clearly full of suffering and negative emotions. There's so much vanilla here it makes me uneasy, and the resins add even more heaviness. Honestly, it only brings up unpleasant associations 😩

How wonderful that I accidentally became the owner of this fragrance! At first, of course, I was disappointed because they brought me the wrong scent, not the one I ordered. But, upon opening the bottle, I realized it was simply an incredible gift! I can't get enough of it, one bottle is already finished, and I bought a second, larger one!!! In spring, it struck me with its sweetness, and in summer, it was no less chic. How pleasant it was to apply it at the end of the day, when the heat had subsided, and the warm air carried this sweet-woody, blooming trail that just makes your head spin. And in cool weather, it's also magnificent-just one drop in the middle of the day, and a benevolent elegance stays with me all day long
