Fragrance information:

Kashaya Kenzo, launched in 1993, is marketed as a feminine fragrance, falling within the east and floral families. Perfumer Sophia Grojsman is the author behind this composition. The fragrance belongs to the floral and whiteflower groups. In eau de toilette — and that's all it takes to fall in love.

It carries a moderate sillage, leaving a trail that lingers pleasantly in the air. A subtle fragrance: the longevity is low, which suits its gentle character. Produced in France, where perfumery has long been elevated to an art form. A rich, layered composition that reveals itself differently depending on your mood and the time of day.

Perfume information

Description of the composition

The olfactory structure of Kashaya is built as a cohesive olfactory arc, where layers reveal themselves smoothly and sequentially. The creative approach of Kenzo is clear in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. Every decision feels deliberate, and the structure feels complete all the way through. Eau de toilette sets a balanced rhythm of unfolding.

At olfactory-group level the composition is built around Floral, Whiteflower, Spicy and Fruit. It also reaches into Citrus, Ambery, Balsamic and Wood.

At the opening of the pyramid you catch sweet-fresh fruity opening notes: Anise, Apricot, Bergamot and Hyacinth.

In the central layer you detect Clove, Jasmine, Lily, Narcissus, Orange blossom and Orchid holding a creamy tuberose direction.

The internal accord map is driven by these accords: Citrus, Gourmet, Floral and Fruit with each one in a clear role. Background accords such as Musc, Wood, Amber and Spicy add depth to the backdrop. The profile is feminine, which makes the scent profile easier to read. In wear duration Low suggests confident staying power.

Taken together Kashaya reads as a cohesive composition — the start forms character, the central phase adds depth, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.
Persistence
Low (1 to 2 hours)

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

The fragrance truly impresses with its complexity and perfect balance. The opening simply explodes with fresh, juicy fruits that feel as if they've just been picked from the tree 🍏 In the heart of the perfume, flowers create an amazing ensemble where no single note dominates, and all together they sound very harmonious 🌸 The base of the fragrance is multifaceted and rich, which adds depth. Overall, this is the creation of a true master who knows how to craft something unique and memorable. I'm absolutely thrilled with this fragrance! ✨

So I tried Kashaya again. This is my second encounter with this fragrance, and again, it didn't impress me. Honestly, it's even sad. The scent reminds me of ordinary dried fruit compote, and I don't smell anything else. Maybe it's just me

I got this decant because it's a rarity here. But, damn, I like it more from under the cap than on me. Spicy, yes, that's for sure, even something similar to Kenzo Jungle L'Elephant. But these peaches, apricots, and pineapple just jump out at you. The narcissus, by the way, reminds me a bit of the narcissus from Chloe. I think it'll really open up nicely in the fall, so I'll save it for later, because it didn't impress me at all in spring

The fragrance evokes memories of the past, like a shadow of bygone days. In a garden full of flowers, each one seems to tell its own story. Narcissus with mandarin, their tartness sounds bright, not embracing, but rather provoking. Elegance and beauty, perfectly suited for an evening outfit and shoes, for those who know what style is 🌸

The first test just threw me off. The scent initially seemed somewhat chemical and plastic, completely incomprehensible. But after an hour, it changed beyond recognition and became incredibly beautiful. Now I can't get enough of its smell. After the first accord, I never even thought I'd change my mind about Kashaya Kenzo so much - from complete repulsion to almost love! 💖

The peach powder is simply amazing, with a light accent of dried fruits. Floral notes in the heart of the fragrance add a special zest, and in the base, the powder softens a bit. At some point, Kashaya Kenzo reminded me of Tresor, though I can't pinpoint exactly why… Perhaps it's something with a rose note. The peach is very noticeable against the floral composition. The fragrance seems complex to me, yet subtle at the same time. If you apply it, you won't immediately understand which flowers are present, although sometimes I think I catch tuberose

Kashaya simply captivated me from the very first drop! From the first moments, this fragrance enveloped me in something incredible and enchanting. I was absolutely delighted, as if I had entered another world. But what truly upsets me is that I only bought a decant, just to be safe. Now there are only a few milliliters left, and I'm just shocked by it. Such a pity!
