Fragrance information:

Korloff Paris is a house born from the legend of the black diamond, and its Kn III fragrance is a true jewel of a creation.

Released in 2008, this women's perfume became part of the iconic Kn° collection.

It was created by Daniel Paillasseur himself—the brand's founder and perfumer—who infused the composition with all the magic of jewelry craftsmanship.

The eau de toilette concentration makes the fragrance light and refined, while its sillage is subtle yet incredibly sophisticated.

An ideal choice for those who appreciate understated luxury and want to surround themselves with a warm, enveloping cloud.

The Fragrance Story and Wearability

Kn III is a mood-setting fragrance created for women who love soft, sweet, and floral accents.

It belongs to the floral and sweet fragrance families, and its composition unfolds delicately and gradually.

Thanks to its light sillage, this perfume is perfect for the office, a romantic date, or a cozy evening.

Apply it to your wrists, behind your ears, and in the hollows behind your knees—this way, the fragrance will accompany you without overwhelming those around you.

Description of the composition

The Kn III pyramid is a harmonious blend of citrus freshness, floral delicacy, and warm woody gourmand notes.

The top notes offer the sparkle of bergamot, the playfulness of freesia, and sensual ylang-ylang. At the heart of the composition, spicy patchouli and soft musk unfold, creating a velvety foundation.

A base of amber and vanilla leaves a sweet, enveloping trail that you’ll want to breathe in again and again.

The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

1
Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. The fragrance doesn't seem overly sweet to me, even though I love such notes. You could even add a bit more sweetness! Mostly, floral accents dominate here. Those who prefer light and unobtrusive fragrances will definitely like this one!!

In my opinion, there's not enough sweetness in this fragrance. If they set out to create something sweet, they should have seen it through. There's a sense of incompleteness, although the scent itself isn't bad. I think it will appeal to those who appreciate floral notes with a creamy base, but with a slightly tart accent. Ylang-ylang with vanilla is clearly audible here, a lot of musk, and dry patchouli, which give it an interesting character 🌸

The sweetness of this fragrance is again at the forefront, although it might be slightly less cloying than the second one. In the beginning, ylang-ylang, freesia, and bergamot sound quite good, even pleasant. But citrus notes can't save the situation when sweetness starts to dominate. Patchouli and musk add extra cloyingness, and vanilla with amber in the base only exacerbate this feeling. The longevity is simply excellent, and the sillage is also impressive. All in all, this is definitely not for everyone 😏
