Korloff Paris Kn I: The History of a Luxurious Fragrance

Released in 2008, Korloff Paris Kn I is an exquisite eau de toilette for women, part of the Kn° collection.

This fragrance, created by perfumer Daniel Paillasseur, reflects the unique style of the French house, where perfumery meets jewelry craftsmanship.

The brand's history, shrouded in the mystery of the black diamond, adds charm to this release, making it not just a fragrance, but a symbol of luxury and elegance.

For Whom Kn I Is Created and How to Wear It

Kn I is positioned as a feminine fragrance from the Floral family, making it ideal for romantic encounters, everyday wear, or special occasions.

Its lightly perceptible sillage provides a delicate presence without overwhelming others.

As an eau de toilette, it offers freshness and lightness, perfect for warm days or when you want to feel renewed.

It is recommended to apply it to pulse points on the skin for better development, but since data on dosage for skin and clothing are lacking, it's worth experimenting with the number of sprays to find your ideal balance.

Daniel Paillasseur and the Magic of the Black Diamond

Perfumer Daniel Paillasseur, the founder of the brand, infused into Kn I not only his craftsmanship but also the philosophy of Korloff Paris, where every detail matters.

The fragrance is inspired by the legendary 88-carat black diamond Korloff Noir, which is reflected in the design of the 88 ml bottle.

This is not a coincidence, but a carefully considered gesture that links perfumery with the jewelry heritage of the house.

Kn I became an important milestone in the brand's development, strengthening its reputation as a creator of exquisite and unique products.

The composition Kn I begins with a playful start of black currant, mint, and pineapple, creating a fresh and fruity opening accord.

In the heart of the fragrance, an exquisite bouquet of freesia, lily of the valley, sea accord, peony, and rose unfolds, adding floral tenderness and aquatic freshness.

The base concludes with warm notes of amber, cedar, and musk, providing longevity and depth that gently envelop the skin.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

A light and fresh fragrance that's perfect for summer. It has a lot of greenery, floral notes, and a light sea breeze. It'll be a real find in the heat, but you need to be careful. It quickly loses its unique charm, and an aquatic note appears in the foreground, which I don't really like. The longevity is good, lasts all day, but it's not suitable for serious women. It's more of a playful and youthful option

Honestly, I've always had respect for jewelry brands that also create perfumes. Korloff doesn't disappoint in this regard. The scent is green, but despite that, the peony feels too bright. Freshness is present, but the sweetness somehow gets lost. In the end, I can't say it's anything special

This green fragrance is simply mesmerizing. It's not just pleasant, it's truly magnificent. If it weren't for the persistent consultant, I would never have noticed this green bottle. Now I understand why she spoke so enthusiastically about it, because I myself fell in love with it. I smell the salty freshness of water and juicy lily-of-the-valley stems with a minty accent. It cools, yet it's light and non-irritating 🌿

the scent is really fresh, but there's something elusive about it that evokes sadness. I can smell Iso E Super, and it creates a feeling of spring, but not joy, rather melancholy. The promised notes can be caught, but I don't want to delve deeper. It's gently green, but there's a certain emptiness in this delicate sound. It reminds me of Osmanthus by Yves Rocher, but not as bright. Just interesting, but nothing more

Peonies and sweet smells? Oh no, that's a complete disappointment! I don't understand how anyone could recommend this. The scent is too intrusive and only causes irritation. Better to do without it
