Description of the composition

The composition of Patchouli unfolds as a continuous scent journey, where layers reveal themselves with precision and warmth. The signature of Les Petits Plaisirs is clear in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. No excess details, only what works, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail. Eau de toilette sets a balanced rhythm of unfolding.

The accord profile is shaped by these accords: Wood forming a compact and readable structure. The profile is feminine, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived.

At the opening of the pyramid you detect radiant lemon-bergamot opening notes: Bergamot and Geranium.

When the opening settles you meet Aldehydes and Cedar holding a futuristic direction. In what remains on skin the structure settles through Patchouli and Tonka bean, reinforcing a earthy woody-resinous trail.

At olfactory-group level the composition is built around Citrus, Floral, Fairy and Wood. It also reaches into Spicy. Within olfactory families the scent maps to Fern and Wood.

Overall Patchouli sounds complete from start to finish — the start forms character, the central phase adds depth, while the drydown anchors the memory. This is the type of composition best understood through real development.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Very conspicuous

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

It was curious to try a patchouli mono-fragrance. The creators, it seems, decided that patchouli resembles the sweet base of Angel, because this fragrance really has chocolate-sugary, rough notes. But if you take patchouli essential oil, the feeling is totally different
