Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Mixed Emotions is shaped as a cohesive olfactory arc, where layers reveal themselves smoothly and sequentially. The signature of Linn Young is clear in the way notes appear and fade. Nothing here feels random, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Eau de parfum keeps the right density and pace of development.

The profile is feminine, which makes the scent profile easier to read.

In the top tier you sense juicy fruity opening notes: Bergamot, Champaca, Mandarin and Melon. These 4 notes form playful berry energy that is impossible to miss.

When the opening settles you sense Jasmine, Lily of the Valley, Plum, Rose and Violet keeping a creamy tuberose direction. At drydown level the structure settles through Sandalwood, White Cedar, Woody Accord, blackberry and musk, extending a earthy woody-resinous trail.

At the note-group layer the composition is built around Citrus, Floral, Fruit and Whiteflower. The framework further includes Wood and Musk. At family level the fragrance belongs to Floral and Fruit.

The scent turned out quite sharp, a sweet rose with fruits, as if they had already started to ferment. Honestly, I thought I'd smell something lighter, like Arden's, but alas, the packaging doesn't match the content
