The composition of Admiration Black is shaped as a cohesive olfactory arc, where notes flow with precision and warmth. The style of Linn Young is recognizable in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. Nothing here feels random, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail. Eau de toilette keeps a balanced rhythm of unfolding.

In the first seconds you meet spicy sparkling first notes: Bergamot, Cardamom and Pink pepper. These 3 notes shape warm spicy pulse that anchors the first impression immediately.

In the heart you sense Ambergris and Tonka bean holding a softly spicy direction.

The internal accord map is built around these accords: Citrus, Gourmet, Powdery and Amber with each one in a clear role. Additional accords such as Spicy enrich the profile without taking over. The stylistic positioning is masculine, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived.

The fragrance, of course, isn't expensive, but the quality is so-so. Sweetish and spicy, but way too subdued, like it's shy. I would've bought it before, but now I have a snob living at home who thinks such things aren't for us, you know? 😒
