Perfume information

Description of the composition

The olfactory structure of Vent du Sud is built as a living composition, where layers reveal themselves without rush and without gaps. The signature of Lise Watier is recognizable from the opening to the final trail. Nothing here feels random, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Eau de toilette keeps the depth and body this composition needs.

In the first seconds you catch delicate floral top notes: Jasmine, Passion Flower and Rose. These 3 notes form an elegant floral wave that is impossible to miss.

When the opening settles you meet Tropical fruits holding a velvety fruity direction.

The olfactory framework is built around these accords: Floral, Fruit, Musc and Wood with each one in a clear role. Additional accords such as Amber and Spicy add depth to the backdrop.

At the note-group layer the structure relies on Whiteflower, Floral, Fruit and Ambery. The framework further includes Gourmet, Wood and Musk. Within olfactory families the fragrance belongs to Floral and Fruit.

Overall Vent du Sud reads as a cohesive composition — the start forms character, the heart develops the core line, while the drydown anchors the memory. This is the type of composition best judged through real development.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.
Sillage
Very conspicuous

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

The fragrance is really sweet-tart and bubbly, which makes it quite interesting. I can't pinpoint the notes exactly, but it reminds me of fruits in champagne. Overall, it's a positive impression, I like it! :)

I was looking for apricots in Montale's Vanilla Extasy, but then I found Southern Wind. Oh, it's so soft and juicy, with just a hint of vanilla. The scent is simply amazing, so delicate and pleasant. Everyone's talking about 'cuteness' these days, and this perfume is totally that )
