Identity and History of Eau de Cedrat

Eau de Cedrat by L'Occitane en Provence, released in 2015, is a fresh and energetic fragrance that immediately captivates perfume lovers.

In Russia, it is often called "Loksitan Cedrat," which emphasizes the brand's accessibility and recognizability.

The brand L'Occitane en Provence was born in the heart of Provence in 1976, when founder Olivier Baussan began his journey with rosemary oil, creating a philosophy of naturalness and beauty that later became a world legend.

Eau de Cedrat continues this tradition, bringing Provencal freshness to every bottle.

The fragrance name refers to cedrat, or citron, a citrus fruit that symbolizes solar energy and vitality.

It is the perfect choice for those seeking a bright and refreshing accent in their collection.

Note Pyramid and Fragrance Development

The composition of Eau de Cedrat is built on the harmony of citrus, spicy, and woody chords, belonging to the Citrus, Musk, and Woody families.

The top notes of bergamot and cedrat create an instant burst of freshness, which gradually transitions into warm spicy heart notes of ginger and nutmeg, with a base of cashmeran and cedar adding depth and longevity.

On the skin, the fragrance develops gradually: the initial citrus brightness softens into spicy nuances, creating a sense of comfort and coziness, and the woody-musky base leaves a noticeable trail that lasts throughout the day.

Positioning and Wearability

Eau de Cedrat is positioned as a male fragrance, but its universal freshness can also appeal to women, especially those who appreciate energetic and gentle compositions.

With a noticeable trail, it is perfectly suited for everyday use, adding confidence in any situation.

As an eau de toilette, this fragrance has moderate longevity, making it an excellent choice for warm days or office routines.

For best results, it is recommended to apply it to pulse points on the skin, such as wrists and neck, so that body heat helps the notes unfold.

Thanks to the moderate longevity of eau de toilette, Eau de Cedrat can be applied according to mood, adapting to different situations.

Authorship and Influence

Behind the creation of Eau de Cedrat is the talented perfumer Karine Dubreuil, who masterfully combines natural ingredients with modern chords.

Her work reinforces the brand L'Occitane en Provence's reputation as a creator of accessible and high-quality perfumery, inspired by the nature of Provence.

This fragrance has become an important addition to the brand's lineup, offering an alternative to heavier woody compositions and attracting a new audience that values freshness and naturalness.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

This citrus fragrance didn't impress me at all. There's some kind of chemistry, too bright and sharp. I adore ginger, but here it sounds like it's screaming, not gently whispering. Unlike its aquatic counterpart, where everything is more harmonious and soft. Here, everything is somehow too intrusive

The fragrance is woody-spicy, but there's something sad about it. Warm and rough, it evokes nostalgia. It feels like something that can no longer be brought back. A true masculine fragrance that became a classic, but now seems so distant 😔

The fragrance really grabs attention. I have a deodorant from this series, and it pleases with its longevity. The citrus notes are simply amazing! This scent can be worn not only by men but also by women, although for the latter, it will only suit strong and confident ones, with a slight touch of audacity. But the price... it's certainly disappointing. Too high

This fragrance truly delights with its freshness, you can feel beautiful cedar and a light nutmeg in it. It's interesting how it develops, becoming warm and soft, you can even imagine it on a woman. But the price... why is it so high? Fragrances from this brand used to be more affordable 😔

The scent is quite interesting. Bergamot combined with cedar and nutmeg creates a cool effect. It's truly refreshing. It will be especially good in summer, but also perfect as an aftershave for men all year round 🌟

Cedar cologne with a slight shimmer. The scent is truly refined and sensual, it will give any man a special allure. This cool and slightly detached fragrance smells very intelligent, simply wonderful 🌲
