Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Marc Jacobs Gardenia is built on the harmony of floral and spicy chords: in the heart of the composition, delicate Gardenia, Jasmine and Honeysuckle dominate, creating the image of a spring garden, while in the base, the spicy warmth of Ginger and sensual Musk come to life, adding depth and longevity.

The absence of distinct top notes allows the fragrance to unfold smoothly, starting with floral freshness and gradually transitioning to a warm and intimate finale, making it a universal choice for those who value elegant and memorable perfumes.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

Unfortunately, after application, the fragrance quickly loses its brightness. I can't figure out what's wrong: maybe it's my skin reacting this way, or maybe the musk is to blame, or even the jasmine ))))

Unfortunately, this isn't gardenia, it's just jasmine, and honestly, not in its best form. The indolic note is simply awful. I adore jasmine in perfumery, but I don't like this particular version ))

The fragrance turned out to be too sharp and soapy. On the skin, you feel aggressive musk, and the ginger is just overpowering. Unfortunately, it didn't appeal to me at all. It smells cheap and doesn't last long 😕

I don't understand how this happened, but I don't smell gardenia at all on me. The scent reminds me of soap with a light powdery and slightly tart aroma. There's no longevity, and no sillage either

Jasmine and musk - that's all I can say. Gardenia and honeysuckle, unfortunately, aren't noticeable. You wouldn't say from the pyramid that the scent would behave any differently
